Adam Lambert ‘auditions’ for American Idol XIV with ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ (VIDEO)

Adam Lambert sang “Bohemian Rhapsody” during the American Idol XIV Season 14 auditions in New York, NY on Thursday, January 15, 2015. WOW!

Adam was the guest judge taking over for Keith Urban.

“I would kill if you would audition for us,” requested Harry Connick, Jr. during one of the breaks.

Adam obliged and sang “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen, his audition song from Season 8.

J-Lo and Harry gave him a golden ticket to Hollywood! Well done! He still has it.

I think it was nice to see Adam Lambert sing on American Idol again, going full circle if you will — in fact, he is now the lead singer of Queen — but at the same time… was this really necessary? No one asked J-Lo, Keith Urban or Harry Connick, Jr. to “audition” even just for fun. Just a bit unfair I think. Adam Lambert is an Idol superstar! I don’t think you should ask stars to “audition.”

This was one for the fans for sure and thank goodness Adam was game. He’s so very gracious! But really, he deserved better.
