Before the results, host Dermot O’Leary offers a big announcement: Next week is The X Factor Jukebox, in which the fans will get to pick one of three songs for each contestant to sing next week through the official The X Factor UK app. The fan-chosen song will be one of two the contestants will sing next week.

Group Performance

The Top 6 and JLS sing “Everybody In Love”

The first act through to next week is…LUKE FRIEND!

The second act through on the public vote is…NICHOLAS MCDONALD!

The third act through to the quarterfinal is…SAM BAILEY!

The fourth and final act returning next week is…TAMERA FOSTER! (Tamera is SHOCKED, Rough Copy is amused, and Hannah looks PISSED. LOTS of boos from the crowd on this one)

Final Showdown

Hannah Barrett sings “I’d Rather Go Blind” by Etta James

(DAMN, she sang her ass off here! And the judges gave her a standing ovation!)

Rough Copy sings “Stop Crying Your Heart Out” by Oasis

(This…may have actually been my favorite Rough Copy performance. A genius song choice performed really well. I don’t envy the judges one bit for having to make a decision after this. And THEY get a standing ovation too!)

Judges’ Vote

Nicole Scherzinger breaks down in tears and says she’s furious with the British public for putting her girl in the bottom 2, and says these two acts should be in the final. (Of course, she doesn’t say who should have been in the bottom 2, since I think she forgets that the only other realistic bottom 2 options were Luke Friend and her other girl, Tamera Foster. Seriously, Nicole, who did you expect to land in the bottom except one of your girls? Be glad it wasn’t both)

As for Louis, he says it was an amazing sing-off, and takes a dig at Tamera by cheering, “And you both remembered your words!”

Anyway, on to the vote…

Nicole Scherzinger sends home Rough Copy
Gary Barlow sends home Hannah Barrett
Sharon Osbourne sends home Hannah Barrett
Louis Walsh sends home Hannah Barrett

Hannah Barrett is eliminated from The X Factor UK!

-She takes the news much better than one would think, given how angry and depressed she’s seemed about previous bottom 2 appearances. She flashes a lovely smile and says how blessed she’s been to have competed this season, and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t think Hannah came across as incredibly likable here.

X Factor 2013 – X Factor Live Shows, Week 7, Who’s going home? on MUZU.TV.

Thoughts

I’ve never been Hannah’s biggest fan, but I’d prefer her staying over Tamera Foster, who just isn’t ready, and who seems defeated every week before the song even starts. I’m not so sure there’s even anything she can do next week that would convince me she shouldn’t be given her walking papers by this time next Sunday. At some point, viewers need to stop giving her a pass based on her potential, since she’s had seven weeks now to realize that potential and hasn’t done much of anything save for a performance or two at the start of the live shows. It’d be kind of silly if other, more deserving acts, go home before she does.

So what did you think of this result? Was this the right bottom 2? Did the judges make the right call? Sound off in the comments!

Last night, Tamera, Rough Copy, Hannah, and Nicholas's performances were forgettable. If either of them were in the bottom 2, I wouldn't have been surprised. And once again, I disagree with you, Rickey. Luke Friend is on the rise & gaining a lot of fans. He's not going anywhere, not by a long shot.

I don't know if anyone can really complain about anyone staying or going,  because the show is called 'XFactor', not 'The Voice'. The XFactor is a very subjective quality, and for some reason (in addition to her beautiful voice) many people, me included, feel like Tamera has that elusive 'something'. May the 'X' be ever in her favor!

Tamera foster HAS shown her potential in the live weeks, giving awesome performances with beneath your beautiful, listen, and cry me a river. Don't know which Tamera foster YOU were listening too...

Guess this was a bit inevitable.

I definitely would have preferred Rough Copy to go though, they just haven't impressed me at all in the finals

All the videos from tonight's show have been added. Just hit "refresh". The One Direction performance, however, is up on the main page, so just head to Rickey.org to check it out! Thanks, guys!

Yes Tamera's potential was huge in the beginning but she hasn't really lived up to it. Even if she wasn't forgetting lyrics, her last couple performances have been weak. I'm glad Rough Copy stayed but I felt bad for Hannah.  I agree I wish ppl would stop voting on potential and actual progress.

I knew she wasn't going to win but damn I wasn't ready!!!! Tamera!? Rough Copy!? Nicholas (he's really talented and really charming but my God he doesn't give me anything) in that order could of left before her.

Hannah Elimination is a proof the votes are fixed. Tamera should have gone home, the only reason she is still in, is her looks. No problem she can be a model, but a perfomer, no way. I will stop watching this ridiculous show. It is not a discovery of talent, it is a manufacture of clownish and untalented singers!

@mamashmoi Lol, I don't think the Voice is the best comparison, considering the difference in actual singing rounds.

@HenryShen Her Cry Me A River sucked. What's his name from One Direction sang it better in his own audition, and that's saying something, because he wasn't great either. (Notably, they sang the same version) I think it's a shame to think about either of the girls going home so early. They're both far more talented than what remains, save for Sam Bailey who just has an incredible voice but lacks a lot of X-Factor.

Looks are obviously not the reason. Ever heard of Sam Callahan? No talent, looks, and now he is off the show. Tamera gives amazing performances usually, but has apparent memory issues.

    Should have been Luke

@takakupo That's the strategy! (Actually, I find Rough Copy a lot more fun to watch than Hannah. Again, it's the 'X' factor...)

@takakupo I just meant that having the XFactor and having the best voice can be 2 very different things :)
