Even though I liked his performance last night, I thought it was Omar’s time. He’s a damn good singer, but I’ve always felt as though he lacked something vital that would have put him over the top. Maybe it was stage presence, maybe it was the swagger of a more consistent level of confidence, or maybe it was something else entirely. I don’t know. But I was just never feeling Omar to the same extent that I was feeling other eliminated acts in the competition, such as Cat Vas. And really, as talented as the guy is, I’m still surprised he made it to live shows over Georgie Bannard, Mitchell Thompson, and Ofisa “Tee” Toleafoa. But then, just about every season of any X Factor I’ve ever seen has one mildly puzzling, “not bad but totally middle-of-the-pack” live show pick, so I suppose it isn’t all that crazy that he got through, or that he made it as far as he did. Love him or not, he was one of the more consistent acts. At least more so than acts like Barry Southgate, JTR, and Ellie Lovegrove. And hey, sixth place isn’t a bad spot to hang your hat. So chin up, Omar!

With that said, as fun as these shows have been, we’re basically biding time until the Taylor/Jai/Dami finale, right? I mean, is there any way Jiordan or THIRD D3GREE can break the inevitability of that final three? And if so, who do they knock out? I’m interested to hear your opinions, so let me know what you think in the comments!
