WWE NXT Spoilers for 05/18/2016: Austin Aries and Shinsuke Nakamura In Action

WWE NXT is back tonight on the WWE Network, but if you’re too excited to wait, the spoilers are now in!

According to a source for Wrestling Inc., it’s a pretty stacked show. In addition to a major women’s match between Bayley and Nia Jax, we get the first hints of a possible feud between Austin Aries and Shinsuke Nakamura, as the two team up to take on Blake and Murphy — and, needless to say, it’s not a match that’s free of complications for the duo. On the subject of tag team matches, the main event of the taping was a match between NXT Tag Team Champions American Alpha and The Revival, but it’s uncertain if the match will air on TV or if it was simply a dark match to send the crowd home happy after the disappointing Bayley segment. I guess we’ll find out tonight. Until then, check out the spoilers below:

-Austin Aries and Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Blake and Murphy with Alexa Bliss. Nakamura refused a tag from Aries towards the end of the match, and instead chose to finish the match by hitting the Kinsasha for the three-count. After the match, Bliss walked out on Blake and Murphy. Blake then walked out on Murphy.

-Carmella defeated Peyton Royce.

-Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa defeated Danny Birch and Rob Ryzin.

-Nia Jax defeated Bayley. During the match, Bayley blew out her knee on a spot (not legit, just part of the match). Nia worked the leg, and then finished Bayley off for the three-count. After the match, Bayley sold the leg as officials helped her to the back.

-NXT Tag Team Champions American Alpha defeated The Revival in the main event, although this might have just been a match to send the live crowd home happy.
