WWE Monday Night Raw – Live Ongoing Spoilers – 04/18/2016

-Dean Ambrose opened the show and ran through a number of topics: joking about Braun Strowman, singling out James Corden’s parents in the front row, and introducing Shane McMahon to the live audience. Shane, who is running Raw for a third straight week, says the fans deserve better than they’ve gotten from the Authority. This prompted Kevin Owens to come out and tell Shane that his era isn’t going to be any different from the old one. He feels Shane has been punishing him for noting that Sami Zayn doesn’t belong in the world title hunt. Sami Zayn joined the segment and stated he was signed by WWE before Owens, which means if it wasn’t for him, Owens would never have made it to WWE. Lastly, Chris Jericho came out to complain about having the Highlight Reel segment taken away from him. This eventually led to our opening match, as Shane announced that Jericho would talk on Zayn.

-Chris Jericho defeated Sami Zayn with the Codebreaker.

-Backstage, AJ Styles hugged Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. The former New Japan Pro Wrestling stars acknowledged their shared past.

-Enzo Amore & Big Cass defeated The Dudleys with the Rocket Launcher to advance in the tag team championship No. 1 contenders tournament.

-Backstage, Styles assured Reigns he had no idea Gallows & Anderson were going to attack him. Reigns stated that it won’t matter how many friends Styles brings, he won’t win the title.

-Baron Corbin defeated Fandango with the End of Days. He then laid out Dolph Ziggler, who was doing commentary, by hitting the End of Days on him outside the ring.

-The Miz hosted Miz TV with Maryse. He made fun of little Prince George, comparing him unfavorably to his “pristine” Intercontinental title belt. Cesaro interrupted and declare The Miz a royal pain in the ass. This led to a back-and-forth in which Miz and Cesaro quoted movie lines at each other, with Miz quoting Taken and Cesaro quoting They Live. Somehow, this led to an eight-man tag team match.’

-The New Day & Cesaro defeated The League of Nations & The Miz when Cesaro pinned Sheamus with the Neutralizer.

-Charlotte and Natalya got into an argument backstage. It was annnounced that Bret Hart would be in Nataya’s corner for her match at Payback in order to counter Ric Flair.

-The Social Outcasts try to convince Apollo Crews to join their crew. He says he’ll join the group if one of them can beat him in a one-on-one match. If they lose, however, they’ll have to leave him alone for good.

-Apollo Crews defeated Heath Slater.

-In the main event, Dean Ambrose defeated Kevin Owens with the Dirty Deeds. During his victory celebration, Chris Jericho attacked Ambrose, hitting him with the Codebreaker to end the show.
