Willie Nelson’s Daughter Arrested For Pot Possession On 4/20 Day
Well, if it wasn’t going to be Willie Nelson, it was going to be one of his kids, right? Sunday was 4/20 day, an unofficial holiday for pot smokers all around the globe, and the 44-year-old daughter of the famous marijuana advocate was reportedly arrested in Menard County, central Texas, when she was found in possession of the substance after a routine traffic stop.
Paula Nelson, who fronts the band that bears her name, was found with less than 2 ounces of marijuana on her, but that’s a Class B misdemeanor, punishable by up to 180 days in jail and a $2,000 fine. She was released on bail.
Willie himself has been arrested for possession of pot 3 times, in 1996, 2006, and 2010. Paula took to Facebook to post a picture of her being handcuffed, with the caption, “Let’s just say I’m writing a new song called ‘Spread ’em, squat and cough’.”, making light of the situation.
