William Regal Sent Home From WWE UK Tour Due to Neck Surgery Problems

WWE star William Regal has been sent home from the NXT tour in the UK due to problems related to a recent neck surgery. As a result, he will miss the final two events of the tour, including this afternoon’s NXT Takeover: London.

Regal broke the disappointing news on Twitter: “I’m incredibly sorry, but I have to return to the U.S. to take care of some final details of my recent neck surgery that couldn’t be avoided any longer. Again, I’m sorry that I cannot continue with the current tour, but I’ll be back in 2016 to @WWENXT.”

In addition to missing last night’s live event in Cardiff, Wales, and today’s Takeover special from SSE Wembley Arena, Regal will also miss out on a scheduled talk show appearance on Thursday in Nottingham. Basically, this couldn’t have come at a worse time for the guy, since he always gets a superstar reception whenever he returns to England. Still, health should always come first, so I completely understand why Regal is taking precautions. Ultimately, we wish Regal the best for a full recovery. Get well soon, Mr. Regal!
