Viola Organista – Leonardo da Vinci invention plays for the very first time – Video
Listen to the viola organista — a musical instrument Leonardo da Vinci invented in 1488.
S?awomir Zubrzycki created the instrument using da Vinci’s notes in the Codex Atlanticus. He then played it for the first time at the International Royal Cracow Festival in October 18, 2013.
The viola organista looks like a piano but it sounds like a cello! Great stuff. Leonardo da Vinci was a genius!
First performance of the viola organista made by S?awomir Zubrzycki. INTERNATIONAL ROYAL CRACOW PIANO FESTIVAL 18TH OCTOBER 2013, Aula Florianka.
