Vanessa Wolfe – Audition – Wagon Wheel
Vanessa Wolfe auditions for American Idol Season 9 in Atlanta. She sang “Wagon Wheel” by Old Crow Medicine Show.
Vanessa jumps bridges! Cool. Love her country vibe. The judges said she was authentic. Awesome.
I can’t wait for the make-over if she makes the Top 24.

I loved her. She's so real and so authentic. To me she sounded like a young Dolly Parton. I hope someone snatches her up and helps her discover her dream.
Would someONE in Nashville get to Vonore and bring our girl there to Nashville, please!!!
Forget about A/I, Venessa––You go Nashville, girl!!!
Very disappointed that Venessa Wolfe didn't make it through last night. She was my favorite, and I was rooting for her, but her song was a poor choice and the nerves were way out there. A little experience and she'd be great, I've no doubt of it. She an original, and she's real.
I hope some record company picks her up.
This is one very beautiful young lady, with a lot of talent. I'm sorry to see that she didn't make it on American Idol. I wish I could write her, and give her some words of encouragement. There is hope after American Idol. Chris Daughtry didn't win, and now he's a major superstar. There's always hope, Vanessa, so don't give up pursuing your dreams.
Vanessa is my fav!! She has an awsome voice!! And that so cool that she jumps bridges!! I hope she makes it to the top 2!!
I've watched Vanessa Jo's video over and over, about like I did Kevin Skinner's on America's Got Talent. Kevin wasn't and still isn't the best singer, but people fell in love with his accent and personality. Sometimes its not exactly all talent, but how you draw people to yourself. People look for genuine qualities, humbleness, the desire to succeed, a great stage presence, and she's got all that. Her looks remind me a little of Taylor Swift. Hard work and determination will get her far. At least she has a start now.
vanessa is my sister in laws sister... if u lived in a small town u would understand... she really has raw talent and we love her... she is realy like that most of the time.. shes not a dumb hick like some people think.. she is very genuine.... we love her and hope she takes all the critisim smiles and moves forward... yes dimond in the rough... but once her confindence shines that will be the most beautiful jewel... we love u vannessa keep up the hard work 100% pure beef!!!!
I hope she makes it. It is indeed a long shot, but I like rooting for underdogs on American Idol. Although all the others disappeared within a month.
Sure she has talent. Needs some coaching, alittle makeover. Beautiful eyes and smile. Personality a plus. Even if she doesn't make it all the way, someone will snatch her up and make her dream come true. You go Vanessa.
to bad alot of what you seen was an act ,she is a sweet girl and she is not that dumb really .you all will see the true side come out but ,i still hope she goes to the top 20 ...we love her for the real her .....
The girl has potential through the roof. A true diamond in the rough. Fan favorite with thousands already posting their support. I've already jerked off to her still frame when she jumps off the roof. Go Vanessa!
Hey Autumn, what do you mean by "so glad she made it to Hollywood, even though it didnt last long"? Was she cut during Hollywood round? If yes, that's very very sad :(
i love vanessa! im so glad she made it to Hollywood, even though it didnt last long. i still love her to death and always will! and ive been standing up for her to all these people bad-mouthing my bestie!
I had no idea anybody still said air-o-plane. "I'm going to ride on an air-o-plane and eat peanuts on an air-o-plane." Good for her. I hope she does well. I can't really imagine what she would do on Beatles week or Neil Diamond week, but she'll do just fine on Dolly Parton week, if she makes it that far.
I really liked her!! Being from a small town like her I know where she is coming from...all we have is a Dollar Store. I think she at least deserves a chance. She seems very fun and down to earth and if she got far enough and started making money off of all this she would be the one to appricate it. Shes got my vote!!!
I think she was refreshing, just being herself. I don't think she has the confidence the program is looking for, nor will she (probably) be able to develop it in the short term... I do think that it's wonderful they gave her a chance and that she will now get unstuck, because something has shaken loose, even if it is just her opinion of herself. Why not? I think she is beautiful.
I really like Vanessa, she is a very sweet and talented country girl. I hope she makes it far and I love her accent!
James ~ Unfortunately having your back-story covered does not mean you are in the top 24 - but it does mean we'll be more likely to see what happens to her, unlike some of the others who we never see get cut in Hollywood and then we wonder - hey, where'd so-and-so go?
this was awesome...ive been in vonore tn about15 years of my life and went to school with the girl...its sooooooooooooooooooo exciting to have someone from this city go big
I think this girl's the real thing.
I don't think she's got a shot at winning Idol -- she's got talent and soul, but needs more experience and polish. I'm pulling for her to go far anyway.
I hope Idol gets her someplace where she can make something of herself and that talent.
Congratulations Vanessa - you have a great voice!
I felt very bad for you when she said I hope the judges don't look down on me - it's sad that you would think that. I hope you don't worry about that anymore because just by getting up there and singing your heart out you should be tremendously proud of yourself. Don't ever worry about what others think. Best of everything to you!
I am really not a country fan, but I found this young woman to be innocent and pure with her vocals. Idol fans will like these attributes. If nothing else, she gets that ride on the Aero-Plane. GOOD LUCK......
why would anybody think that's an act?
manda's right, she rly did come out of nowhere.
i know her bf too,
and i live in the same county as her.
have you seen them lean more towards a country singer this year?
I haven't... actually this year the judges have been so broad.. I think they are actually looking for real, raw talent this year!
i loved her audition. i will vote for her if she makes it that far. i cant believe she made it. yay! go vanessa! sequoyah loves you. i hope she makes her own cd because if she does im getting it.
OH BTW I dub her CORNBREAD GIRL... because this girl is CORN FED AND CORN BRED....She down right COUNTRY... down to the bone... I love her..
I want her to go far, she touched my heart
I wish I had her address so I could send her a few dollars to help her out
They did a back story on her... invested money on going to her home... she's making it to top 24.....
i've jumped off that bridge before and it scared the living crap out of me. i went to high school with her, and i grew up with her boyfriend. she really did come out of nowhere. it's no act.
She seems like a lot of small town girls I know. I'm from a VERY small town in South Carolina, so this girl sits well with me. Yeah, she'll probably grow to either be VERY cute or VERY annoying, but whatever. I enjoyed the audition.
This was so so so Good!!!! this is authentic country. 1000.000.000 bucks she gets a record deal...!!!!
I must be overly cynical but I think this country bumpkin thing is a total act. She's a plant I bet. Of course she's southern, she seems sweet, but i think she's had some breaks before or training. She wasn't plucked out of Podunk-town. I wasn't impressed by her voice or look.
What a sweet girl. No her vocals weren't all that fantastic, but she has potential. I hope she's practicing her ass off and getting better for Hollywood week.
I loved her. I thought she was very sweet and real. I hope that she does get a fair chance to make through Hollywood. I'd also like to see her makeover! Go Vanessa!!!
Her audition made me cry. Not everyone is polished. She is a diamond in the rough.
I hope she is able to hold it together and make it.
I enjoyed this girl's audition a lot! LOL at the comment she made about eating peanuts on the aeroplane :D
I like her voice too. I'm starting to dig the old country vibe. I wish she gets to the top 24.
I'm still waiting for an old school country singer. I want a Willie Nelson or a Johnny Cash or a Patsy Cline.
What an incredibly nice, sweet girl!! And she had a good voice too, in spite of her nervousness. Hopefully she can learn really fast and develop and do well in Hollywood.
I love country singers but I feel bad that she got that dress for 4.50 at the dollar store. I think she will make it through Hollywood though since Simon likes her so much. : )
