UFC Fight Night 88 Results: Cody Garbrandt Knocks Out Thomas Almeida
Last night, UFC delivered an impressive card with UFC Fight Night 88 in Las Vegas. In particular, we got one hell of a knockout in the bantamweight main event fight.
Cody Garbrandt defeated Thomas Almeida by knockout just 2:53 into the first round. The knockout earned Garbrandt a Performance of the Night bonus, and it was well-earned, as Garbrandt not only remains undefeated, he handed Almeida his first career loss. In other contests, Jeremy Stephens scored a big win over Renan Barão via unanimous decision in Barão’s debut at 145 pounds; Sara McMann defeated Jessica Eye in a women’s bantamweight fight, also via unanimous decision. All in all, it was a pretty eventful card that should have big implications in the bantamweight division (both men’s and women’s) going forward. You can check out the results below:
