A gloomy end to a gloomy season but still far better than the US one....a mediocre forgettable girl group that shouldnt have even made the top 5 beats out the best in the competition.....Janet Craig and Marcus were all far superior to this lackustre bunch

Steve's cute...but boring. Surly or even snarky would be a huge improvement. Zero charisma personality. If he begins hosting shirtless, that would help too. I know it would hold my interest. Why hasn't Rickey found those shirtless half-naked Steve Jones photos all over the internet? He oughta post some of those here. ;)

Nah, I sort of like Surly Steve in a trainwreck sort of way - but he needs to up his game and become more belligerent, otherwise I'll get bored :P

I have to wonder wtf was Simon thinking hiring him and Nicole - because the UK crew has always been good. I also think that Simon should have incorporated an Xtra Factor along with the show, like before results night. Get an Ollie and Caroline or Ant and Dec type of duo. I think the US audience would have warmed up to the show and contestants more.

Dermot is cheeky and cute! Other than that, he is supportive of the contestants and seems to genuinely care, like when someone goes home he always offers a hug of sorts...

Steve on the other hand is just awkward to watch...

I would have never pegged them for the winner in the first few weeks, always thought they were awesome but thought that the girlband curse will come after them!!!

Finally it's been too long since we had a deserving winner in X Factor!!!!

It was an easy win against Marcus Collins.
