I think this is a very worthy top 4.  Cassadee is an excellent storyteller.  Though can never be as good as a singer,  Cassadee's tone does remind me of the great Olivia Newton-John, breathy and intimate.  Nicholas is ear candy and such a unique artist, magical at times even.  His artistry is undeniable.  Terry really earned his spot with his wrenching Foreigner performance. In the world of constant melisma, his belting is piercingly and refreshingly "straight line".  And Trevin is a prodigy, plain and simple.  With the right coaching and honing, he can do just about anything.

In fact, I think the whole top 10 were really strong contenders and truly talented singers/performers.  With the exception of Dez of course.

veeeeeeery MEH semifinal, like, come on, only 1 performance? homecomings? REALLY? Cassadee was the stand out performance (as always) i hope trevin leaves so we can ar least have a decent final....

Based on iTunes chart Trevin is definitely going home! Yay... :D

I think and hope Trevin is a goner. He is the lowest on the itunes chart.  Terry and Cassadee are already in the top 10.  Cassadee is sooooooo going to win this season.

The final 3 will be Cassadee, Nicholas and Trevin.

All four gave drippy performances tonight.  Nick was most affecting.  And while Trevin was the least successful, I don't think it matters.  Terry needed to give another revelatory performance like his Foreigner last week.  His "Let It Be" was instead rather routine.

@IdleTime I like Terry but the problem I had with this performance was he never emoted with it. It was too fast and his high notes were annoying. He could have done so much better with it as it really suited his voice.

@sukie3n @IdleTime I thought Terry might be going home, now he ends up #2 on iTunes. The twist of giving iTunes downloads times 10 towards your votes if you're in the top 10 might edge him into the finale at the cost of Trevin.

But my crystal ball just can't see him in the finale instead of Trevin Now that we're down to the final 4 and votes are congregating, not sure how impactful iTunes downloads is.  I mean, you'd think that Trevin would have inherited the Amanda's votes.  We'll see.

@IdleTime @sukie3n My problem with Trevin as with many on shows like this is the pandering to audience screaming which leads to unnecessary screeching rather than controlled singing (Fantasia, J-Hud, etc.). Once the person has an experienced coach (as J-Hud now does), they understand how to maximize their skill without screaming at us.
