‘The Voice’ Star Adam Wakefield Releases ‘When You’re Sober’ (VIDEO)
Adam Wakefield was the runner-up on The Voice Season 10, as part of Team Blake. Throughout the season, he was among the most consistent performers, not only delivering increasingly impressive performances, but also managing to land in the Top 10 on iTunes on multiple occasions. Well, now he’s back with a new single, and it’s more of what we originally grew to love about Adam.
“When You’re Sober” gives Adam a platform for his husky, smoky, soulful voice, and his genuine artistry. Seriously, this is a really well-written and well-structured song. It’s more of a folksy soul song than a country track like many would expect, but I love that about Adam. In the music video, he performs the song at a Nashville hotspot known as Skull’s Rainbow Room, alongside singer Jenny Leigh. I loved this, and I think it shows tremendous potential for his upcoming debut album. I’m looking forward to it! Listen to the song and watch the music video below:
