Got Something to Add?
Very happy for Committed! Their version of "This Love" was what drew me in. SCS were fantastic and very deserving runners-up. Congrats to everyone who made the show so wonderful to watch.
I was pulling for Street Corner Symphony but am happy for Committed. They were a great group of guys and wonderful vocalists.
SCS should have won, with Backbeats or Committed 2nd. Committed had some great moments but I don't think they were consistently great. SCS is almost always awesome, and they always look like they're having a blast... so BOO. And I can't believe Rickey praised Nicole(LOL). Don't you hate her, Rickey?
Yay for Committed!!! It was either them or Backbeats. Wonder if they were called in the order they actually came in or if it's like AI.
Anywho, I thoroughly enjoyed this show.
Even the groups I didn't like much, I still enjoyed watching them perform (like Talk of the town) b/c the show is just so much fun. It also helps that current songs were being sung. Not old crap that gets rehashed over and over and over again on AI.
And I LOVE that this show doesn't make everything about the judges. MAN do I love that.
I'm so sick of AI giving the judges so much time while the talent get overshadowed.
I was never crazy about Talk of the Town either - they are very talented but not my favorite. I like the Backbeats, but last year I liked the runners up too, so I guess I'm just not into the winners! And I think having the show only 3 weeks is a great choice - leaves you wanting more. Usually by the time American Idol or DWTS are done people are ready to move on.
Wow, what a wonderful show. They didn't prolong the
packages, the people were real and talented, the costumes were great, Nick Lachey was handsome and a great unobnoxious host, and the judges were pretty knowledgeable. I loved Committed from the start because they were harmoniously outstanding. I also really enjoyed Groove for thought and the Backbeats. Jerry's group Talk of the Town did nothing for me and his scratchy voice bothered me a lot. I was sad that the competition was only 3 weeks as I have watched shows like American Idol that last for 5 months and Dancing With the stars which was on 10 weeks. So I will look forward to seeing it again next year and maybe we will be treated to a longer show then. Anyway, I will be keeping an eye on Committed's progress in the business.
I really started liking Backbeat the best. Committed was good, but Backbeats came on strong.
I hope they all have successful careers.
Yeah, I liked Backbeat, but they really started to grow on me more as the show went on. They really know how to perform for the crowd.
They just have a way of pulling you in to whatever they're singing (although I'm not too fond of the Asian girl's vocals).
