This episode of The Lying Game was so much better than previous episodes. Now that things are finally happening, I’m no longer bored while watching. Last week, Emma discovered a threatening note left behind with a piece of Sutton’s dress. The note told her to continue to be Sutton or she’s next. Emma panics and immediately wants to go to the police. Thayer and Ethan think they should wait it out. They believe that Sutton is screwing with them and it’s just another Lying Game.

They encourage Emma to go college hunting with Ted in the hopes it will aggravate Sutton enough for her to reappear. Emma plays along but worries about Sutton and Alec. Alec is just creepy. And I feel like there is no one on this show that doesn’t fear him. Ethan’s brother owes Alec for helping keep him out of prison and Ted loves him because he’s Sutton’s Godfather and has always been there for them. Whatever.
Ted is kind of sketchy too. Justin certainly hates him. All it takes is a comment about his mother for Justin to snap and randomly break up with Laurel with no explanation. I gotta say, Laurel’s acting in the aftermath of the break up is flawless. I love her now. I wonder what Justin has over Ted and why Ted hates that bracelet. Did he have something to do with his mother’s death? Why is Justin carrying around a copy of her autopsy?
Thayer has been M.I.A. since the note appeared. He says he left to check something. He returns dramatically to announce that he now believes Sutton is dead and he thinks he knows who killed her. He found out that Annie Hobbes broke out of the mental institution and may have killed Sutton to keep the twins a secret. Just as they all gather in her room to mourn the loss, Sutton walks in to crash the party. Seriously, why doesn’t anyone ever lock that window??
Haha - why don't they ever lock that window?! You're right, Rickey! And, I totally agree that the Laurel actress (should really look up her name) is very good. I could read every feeling in her face. I was impressed with her in that scene!
