The Clark Brothers — Change the World, Amazed — The Next Great American Band
The Clark Brothers perform Eric Clapton’s “Change the World”, Lonestar’s “Amazed” and the gospel song “
This Little Light of Mine / Faith Faith Faith” on The Next Great American Band
I thought Ashley Clark was a bit monotone in the singing “Change the World” but “This Little Light of Mine / Faith Faith Faith” was OMG as in God with a capital G. Good job!
The Clark Brothers for the win.

Got Something to Add?
I just listened to Clapton's CTW, and I am even more impressed with the Clark Brothers. They really did take a great song and make it their own. I love Austin on the Dobro, and Adam rocks that mandolin. And, may I add, Ashley's wife is hot and his son adorable. Is there anything wrong with these guys?
They are a refressing band...they out rocked Clapton on the first song with an acoustic guitar, a mandelin and a dobro. The second song, I completely agree with Dicko, that it was boring and run of the mill country. But I don't blame them, they just got stuck with a crummy song. The last song was amazing. Actually I like some classic "black gospel" but I can't stand bluegrass and country...but The Clark Brothers just do it so well and with soul that you have to like it. I hope they win. I voted for them 6 tmes.
I was super excited when I saw the song they chose last night. They sang those songs when they came down to my church a couple of years ago. If you guys think it is mesmerizing on tv. wait til you see them in person! I am wowed by them. I will always be a lifelong fan!
I just love the Clark brothers and really hope they win with Sixwire coming in second. I just can't believe that Denver is still in the competition - who is voting for them?
I am just possessed by the Clark Brothers and so surprised that I enjoy them so much, because I'm totally not into bluegrass or country or gospel. But you can't help being transfixed by them. All three have the force of their god running through them every time they take the stage. It's a beautiful thing to see, each of them in communion with their instruments, rendering healing with their strings.
And while all of them are amazing musicians, I think the judges have been remiss by not singling out Austin on his dobro. He kicks butt on every song and, for my money, is probably the most talented and dynamic musician they've had all season.
I've been a fan of Idol and Rock Star and have never bought a CD of anyone's music. While I enjoy the performances, I'm just not into popular music. But I can't wait to see what the Clark Brothers release. If they can capture what they've done on stage on a CD, I'll be buying it.
I want to join Sandra in expressing my graditude to Rickey. You're dedication to this site is astounding and has been for the three years I've enjoyed it.
I am also feeling very fullfilled that the Clark brothers are going all the way...first time for me too! I almost went all the way with Marty Casey on Rock Star:INXS but he got second place and it was heart wrenching.
2kidsdogs, I couldn't agree with you more! Perfect!
Sandra, I had the Clarks and Franklin Bridge as my top 2, with the Clarks on top. I have been mesmerized by the Clarks - Ashley for the smoldering, raw, angst driven vocals and fiddling to make you leap to your feet, Austin for his mad dobro playing -wow- and Adam, strumming the mandolin like it was alive.
They are fresh in a sea of same-o same-o! Clarks for the win!
Rickey, I just want to say we were at the same page from beginning of this competition. I think the Clark Brothers did amazing. Nobody else should be claiming the title. First time ever my favourite rises to the top. I have blogged the entire competition from the beginning if you want to take a look at my myspace account. But without you rickey sometimes I wouldn't have been able to check the performances right away. And I thank you for that.
Rickey, 2kidsdogs! Clark bros are going at it for the win for sure! Ashley's vocals were great on "Change The World! And is it Eric on the mandolin? I like that instrument. All 3 song performances were at the top & that's why this band is in the Finals!
It doesn't hurt that Ashley is so handsome, either! :D
