‘The Bachelorette’ Star Luke Pell Performs New Song, Talks Love Life (AUDIO)

The Bachelorette star Luke Pell has returned to the public spotlight to discuss his country music career and perform his new song, “Next To You”! Of course, he also offers us some insight into life outside the Bachelor Nation, and what his love life looks like three months after being dumped on national television.

In the interview with Taste of Country Nights with Sam Alex, Luke talks about his awkward first meeting with country music superstars Dan and Shay, his party with the Bachelor family at the iHeartRadio Music Festival, and the changes in both his love life and his professional career since he appeared on The Bachelorette. Luke seems keenly aware of how popular he still is, but he states that he can’t put his life on hold for The Bachelor, although he doesn’t rule out the possibility of being the franchise’s leading man down the line.

“Life changes quickly, and so I don’t know where I’m gonna be in a year,” Luke said. “I don’t think it’ll be hanging around waiting to be The Bachelor. But who knows? It’s possible.”

This more or less lines up with what Chris Harrison has said in the past about Luke still being a possibility for The Bachelor down the line. After all, they chose Nick Viall over a year after he was last on The Bachelorette, so it’s clear that just about anything goes, with regards to casting.

But back to Luke’s music career, as he also performs “Next To You”, a song written for Darius Rucker that just might end up on the former Hootie and the Blowfish frontman’s next album. You can listen to the song and the full interview below:
