Tesla Model S P100D Can Apparently Go 0-60 In 2.7 Seconds — In the Rain! (VIDEO)

I’ll admit I’m not the most knowledgeable guy when it comes to Teslas. So I think this is about as good an opportunity as any to learn just what a Tesla can do in suboptimal conditions.

Granted, it’s not exactly shocking to learn that a Tesla Model S can rip past many of its rivals in optimal conditions. But can a Tesla still hold up in the rain? In this video, Brooks from Dragtimes takes his Tesla Model S P100D onto the drag strip to see what his car can really do, especially considering he’d been unable to really go out much due to his native Florida being inundated with rain for the past several weeks. As it turns out, the Tesla’s traction control assured that Brooks would get from 0-60 in just 2.7 seconds, despite all the rain. It’s pretty cool, and stands as an illustration of just what Teslas are capable of doing. Watch the video below:
