‘Real Housewives’ Teresa Giudice Begins 15-Month Prison Stint

After pleading guilty to tax fraud, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice began her 15-month prison sentence in Danbury, Connecticut today (Jan. 5).

According to her attorney, James J. Leonard Jr., Giudice arrived at 2AM, an hour before her 3AM reporting time.

“I think she was anxious to get in, get this thing started, get it behind her, and get back to her family. Her four girls are her primary focus,” the lawyer revealed.

To prepare for her time behind bars, Giudice spoke to recently released prisoners from the correctional institute. As Leonard explained, “They told her to keep her head up, that she would make it through.”

Teresa’s husband Joe will begin his 3.5 year sentence after his wife is released, a sentence granted to accommodate the pair’s four young daughters.
