Recap of Tamar & Vince Season 2 Episode 1 – Recap – It’s a Herbert
They episode starts off with Tamar & the crew in Jacksonville for Day 2 of her promo tour. Tamar loves performing at clubs because its like a party. Early in the episode and Tamar has already kicked off the foolery, saying, “Too bad she can’t get her drink on!” LaShawn and Terrell are arguing about a lot of stuff and Tamar and Vince get a kick out of it. Tamar wants to play “Hot Sugar,” but they are not and Tamar wants to know why Vince is so anti-”Hot Sugar.” Vince gets annoyed and says they can’t give away everything. Tamar says he’s just hating because he doesn’t want her to ‘drop it’ on anyone. Vince just wants to sell the record, not give it away for free.
She sings “Love & War” at the club and says “I want all my Tamartian friends to sing along to our National Anthem.” After the performance, they go to a restaurant and Tamar devours all of the food – eating for two! When ordering food, she goes in – saying she gotta set up her taste buds and bite. LOL. “My appetite is like precious, I just want to steal a bucket of chicken when I go out.” Vince says she doesn’t want to be still having a baby after she has the baby. The food makes Tamar dance! She ends up not finishing a lot of the food and gets full – and falls asleep!
Tamar heads to V101.5 in Jacksonville for Day 3. Tamar wanted a big stage, lights, and confetti and rebuffs the scene a little. At soundcheck she say its jacked up. She tells Vince “Just because you do it at the church, it don’t mean you can do it everywhere!” Before the performance she is super nauseous and tired. She says she wishes she was 9 months already! She calls herself “Sober Sally.”
At V101.5 Tamar heads out for the Q&A, and says its about to be a hard one because she has to hide her “love on top.” Ironically, someone asks her when does she think she’s going to have a baby. Tamar answers the question with, “Did you watch Tamar and Vince last season? We got four in the freezer..we will get to them when its time.” HAHA. The radio host then asks “I think she wants to know when you will thaw them out,” to which Tamar says “Whenever the Lord leads Hallelujher!” Tamar says she almost said that she was having one really soon because she thought people would figure out. She then performs “Love & War.” Here’s the performance when we first posted it back months ago – no idea she was pregnant!
Day 4 they are in Tampa. Vince wants to stop for lunch before and Tamar says ”Well she’s not mad at that because she’s always hungry!” Vince tells her he doesn’t have time for her to complain about her being fat after she has the baby and Terrell and LaShawn are dying of laughter! “I want when I want when she wants it!” She says she’ll deal with it later. It’s some more Terrell and LaShawn banter..which is kind of getting drilling now. They talk about a nanny and Tamar says she has to be 50. If she is 35 she needs to look like a chicken box.
She heads to another radio station Q&A for the final stop. She’s going to test out Hot Sugar for her Tampa Tamartians. Vince wants to do it here because it’s in a controlled environment as opposed to the club. They play it for the fans and Tamar says everytime she hears it she wants it on the radio and will do anything at this point…except for getting pregnant because “ain’t nobody got time for that.” She doesn’t want “Hot Sugar” to be old by the time they release it but Vince says its not like she can do anything with it now.
After being relieved that no one asks about baby plans at the fan portion, at the actual radio interview she is asked about it – and says the babies are still in the freezer, not being thawed out anytime soon, and like being popsicles. Tamar says keeping the baby secret is getting harder and stressful. They are finally ready to reveal the pregnancy and she is happy.
Back in New York, Tamar appears with her sisters and mother on Good Morning America to promote Braxton Family Values and says that she is pregnant, revealing the baby bump. She now feels free and says she can dress cute in her pregnancy. Back in Los Angeles they are moving to a bigger house and she says she needs her sisters to help her move and do inventory! LaShawn says she should have another baby and she says that this will be her only one unless he wants to have the baby! LOL. She says maybe if she had a go-to surrogate. “This is it! I’m not doing this anymore.” Vince says this is what God has blessed them with and that’s it.” Psh, they may do another I think!
Thanks for reading and tune back in next Wednesday at the same time for episode two!
