Well, we go from the potential scandal with Emblem3, to an awesome, heartwarming resolution to one of The X Factor‘s most emotional stories: David Correy’s search for his birth mother. TMZ is reporting that the tattooed singer’s birth mother has come forward after recognizing his baby pictures on the show.

Emblem3, one of Simon’s premiere groups on The X Factor, were recently threatened with eviction by hotel management after a party they were throwing got out of hand.
OH NO! I I hope they don’t get kicked off the show for this! They’re one of my favorite acts in the competition.
The X Factor hosts Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian took a moment with Extra to discuss their upcoming debut as the show’s new hosts.
They seem as excited about the first live shows as I am (mostly because, unlike last year, I don’t have the first idea who’s going to win this thing, and that’s an awesome feeling to have going into the start of any singing show’s live rounds).

The X Factor is trying to get your attention. Just with comedy this time, as Simon Cowell has taken out a mock campaign ad touting himself as the Best Judge Ever.
It’s cute, if nothing else, although I’m not really sure how it encourages anyone to watch. Unfortunately, knowing Simon’s luck, it’ll get bumped by baseball or Hurricane Sandy anyway.

Survivor: Philippines had 11.22 million viewers on Wednesday, beating The X Factor which had 9.3 million.
The X Factor was the #1 show with a 3.5 adult rating, while Survivor had a 3.1 rating. Simon Cowell’s numbers were up 6% from last week but were not enough to beat The Voice‘s 4.7 rating from two nights this week. I don’t think it’s ever going to reach the 4′s this season with some tough competition ahead and the baseball playoffs messing with momentum.
