As Season 12 of American Idol draws to a close, the Top 4 took on One-Hit Wonders for inspiration, as well as perhaps the last chance in their young careers to pick whatever they want, featuring the music of Donna Summer, Julie London, Samantha Sang, Procol Harum, Deline Dion, Jessie J, Drake, and Susan Tedeschi.

Wasn’t it just a few months ago that his job was in jeopardy? I had to go out of my way to campaign for him! Some people at FOX wanted him out because they wanted a change. Because the so called “gold standard” wasn’t working anymore.
Randy Jackson says that American Idol is the only show that “continuously has stars that are produced ” and predicted that in season 12 they are going to find “that pop star” again. Randy also weighs in on the new additions to the Idol judging panel in this phone interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest.
