Phillip Phillips is not battling his label
Phillip Phillips isn’t “battling his label” as some blogs and fans have asserted this week. Phillip and 19 Entertainment have made statements about the matter on Twitter saying that there is “no battle” and that the “blogs got it wrong.”
I can’t believe that some people are so desperate for controversy, they are throwing Phillip under the bus.

American Idol winner Phillip Phillips was a special guest at MIX 105.1 All Access Lounge this week. He was asked about how his single “Home” has jumped up the charts after being featured on the Olympics. (It’s basically the unofficial song of the games now).
He said it was “pretty amazing.”

Phillip Phillips ‘Home’ could move 200K units this week thanks to Olympics
American Idol winner Phillip Phillips’ “Home” has returned to #1 on iTunes this week, thanks to NBC’s use of the single during its London 2012 Olympics. NBC used it in the very popular Women’s Gymnastics competition.
THR reports that the single could sell as much as 200,000 by the end of the week Sunday. Congratulations Phillip! I love this song!

American Idol winner Phillip Phillips was presented with a plaque for his first gold record during the American Idol tour stop in Los Angeles.
Colton Dixon presented him with the RIAA Award for Phillip’s single “Home” with representatives from Interscope and 19 Entertainment in attendance.
