MTV announced that One Direction is their 2012 Artist of the Year. “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen is the Song of the Year.

Congratulations One Direction! Such a well-deserved recognition! Now if the Grammy people would only jump on the bandwagon…

London 2012 heroine Gabby Douglas and British pop band One Direction have been revealed as two of the members on Barbara Walters‘ 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012 list. Other people on this year’s list include – Ben Affleck, Hillary Clinton, Seth MacFarlane, New Jersey governor Chris Christie, Fifty Shades of Grey author E.L. James.

Find out everyone else on the list and who took the top spot when the special airs Dec. 12 and 9:30pm on ABC.
