Jerry Buss, the Los Angeles Lakers’ playboy owner who shepherded the NBA franchise to 10 championships from the ’80s Showtime dynasty to the Kobe Bryant era, died Monday, his assistant said.

Los Angeles Lakers owner Jerry Buss has cancer and is at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, according to a report Thursday by Radaronline.com that suggested Buss is nearing death.
Just minutes before tonight’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, Kobe Bryant wrote a sweet message on his official Facebook. Kobe and Vanessa have called off their divorce.
The couple have two children together: Natalia and Gianna Bryant.
