The X Factor finalist Chris Rene debuts at #40 on the Billboard Pop Songs radio airplay chart this week! How exciting!
Chris released his song ‘Young Homie’ two weeks ago and it sold 31,000 digital downloads on it’s first week. He released the music video last week.

His ‘Young Home‘ finale performance is currently at #55 on iTunes — this is better than Adam Lambert’s new single ‘Better Than I know Myself‘ which has fallen to #88. Melanie Amaro’s ‘Listen‘ is at #160. Josh Krajcik did not chart.
Would it have mattered if we knew beforehand that Chris is outselling Melanie? Probably not. This is why The Voice is way ahead of The X Factor and American Idol when it comes to iTunes. During season one — the MP3 tracks you can download are not hidden in the Top Songs charts. This adds another dimension to the competition — will the fans buy more tracks to catch up on the charts? The person who sold the most, doesn’t necessarily win. It’s been proven so many times after these shows are over, so why hide it?
