‘Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X’ Episode 10 Results: Double Elimination Ends With Insane Tribal Council

Tonight’s Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X was a double-episode, and it featured two tribal councils! That means double the eliminations, and double the surprises! But which two castaways ended up going home this week?

In the first tribal council, Zeke was a man caught in between two alliances in an episode that represented the ascendancy of David’s game, as he won individual immunity, and built up sympathy among enemies and allies alike through his self-esteem issues. The big question of the first hour: would Chris finally get his revenge on Jessica by sending her home, or would it all backfire on Chris and result in his elimination? To add to all the drama, Will told Zeke that Jay has an idol, and Zeke went on to spread the secret in possibly the biggest game of Telephone in Survivor history. It was an interesting hour of strategic play, and it transitioned into an exciting second hour.

But who was the first castaway to go home this week? Get the results below:

CHRIS is voted out of Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X!

In his exit interview, Chris expresses his shock, saying he was completely blindsided. He congratulates Jessica on playing him, and says he has no regrets about his Survivor experience. It was a classy exit from a guy who, in different circumstances, might have gone a bit farther. Still, I think this was the right move, cutting Chris off before he could amass any more power in the game.

In the second tribal council, it was a three-way divide. David decided to target Zeke, who countered by revealing the existence of David’s idol to the rest of the group. With Zeke and David targeting each other, they both tried to find numbers to help their cause. David is able to get Ken and Jessica to go along with his plan, against their better judgement. However, Zeke failed to get Hannah on his side, realizing she was being a double agent. So he decided to target her instead. Hannah freaked out and went to Adam, hoping he would agree to play his idol to save her. But with the vote potentially split three ways between David, Zeke and Hannah, it was hard for Adam to know whether or not his idol would be wasted on Hannah. This resulted in the most chaotic tribal council of the season so far, with Bret and Zeke personally attacking David or his anxiety, and various alliance mates whispering during the proceedings. It was outright madness, in the most glorious way possible.

Before Probst reads the results, David gets up to play his idol. Adam tells David that some of the castaways were whispering about getting rid of Ken, so David decides to play his idol for Ken.

It’s a tie!

It’s time for a revote. As each member goes up to vote, there is whispering again over whom to vote for, with Hannah pleading with Jessica not to write her name down.

It’s a second tie vote! We are deadlocked!

Probst explains that if the group can unanimously agree on which of the two to send home, then that person will go home. If not, Hannah and Zeke will become immune and the rest of the group will have to draw rocks. This leads to an anxiety-ridden debate, as Will argues for pragmatism and coming to a consensus. But the Bret and Sunday’s faction don’t want to vote out Zeke, opting to send home Hannah. They can’t come to a consensus, so…

IT’S TIME TO DRAW ROCKS!

As everyone reveals the rock they drew, it turns out that Jessica had the black rock.

JESSICA has been eliminated from Survivor: Millennials vs. Gen X!

In her exit interview, Jessica is clearly devastated. However, she decides to will her legacy advantage to Ken. She expresses the hope that Ken is still there on Day 36 so he can use it. You and I both, Jessica. She also breaks down in tears when stating this all could have been avoided if she’d just switched her vote to Hannah. True, but I don’t think there was any way to know that someone else wouldn’t have just switched their vote too, resulting in another deadlock.

I’m devastated to see Jessica rocked out of the game. But that’s how it goes, unfortunately. She can hold her head high with the knowledge that, technically, she didn’t do anything wrong to be eliminated. It wasn’t a defect in her game or anything of the sort. Granted, you could argue she maybe picked the wrong side to support, and could have saved herself by switching her vote, but I’m not sure how much farther she would have gotten with the other alliance. Either way, I hope Jessica gets to come back to play again some day.
