After Jeff Probst announced that the twist of Survivor: Blood vs. Water would be returning players against their family members/loved ones, the only question remaining was who would be the returning castaways? (And also, whether or not those infuriating rumors about Redemption Island returning are true)
Now that the season has reportedly wrapped filming, the cast spoilers have begun to become a little more concrete than they were a few months back, when different sets of spoilers conflicted with others. The following seems to be the consensus on who is returning for season 27, in addition to which family members are joining them. Surprisingly, CBS is doing a crossover, as one of the loved ones is a Big Brother winner. Check out the list below via Southomer:
Colton Cumbie (Survivor: One World) with his fiancee Caleb.
Gervase Peterson (Survivor: Borneo) with his niece.
Tyson Apostol (Survivor: Tocantins and Heroes vs. Villains) with his girlfriend, Rachel.
Roberta “RC” Saint-Amour (Survivor: Philippines) with her father.(RC’s father is rumored to have had medical issues)
Candace Woodcock (Survivor: Cook Islands and Heroes vs. Villains) and her husband. (Replacing RC and her father)
Kat Edorsson (Survivor: One World) with her new boyfriend Hayden Moss (Big Brother Season 12 winner).
Monica Culpepper (Survivor One World) and her husband, Brad Culpepper (former NFL player).
Aras Baskauskas (Winner of Survivor: Panama) and his brother, Vytas.
Rupert Boneham (Survivor: Heroes vs Villains, All-Stars and Pearl Islands) and his wife.
Laura Morett (Survivor: Samoa) with her daughter.
Tina Wesson (Winner of Survivor: Australia) and her daughter.
CBS has neither confirmed nor denied this list, but this appears to be the consensus (although there is debate over where Gervase brought his niece or his nephew as his loved one, but that seems to be the only discrepancy).
Survivor: Blood vs. Water premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 18 on CBS.
So what do you think of this cast list? And what about the twist? Will this make for good drama? Or will it be too predictable? Sound off in the comments!
