‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Character Posters Feature Han, Leia, More (PHOTOS)

Official character posters are here for Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens! The five posters are a mix-and-match of iconic Star Wars characters and the awesome newcomers whose journey shapes the story.

In addition to characters like Han Solo and Leia Organa, the individual character posters also feature John Boyega’s Finn, Daisy Ridley’s Rey, and Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren. All in all, the posters are distinctive and striking, and also open to interpretation. Why do we see all of Leia’s face, while everyone else’s face is at last partially obscured? Is it just a design choice? I guess you could argue those lights around Leia’s face are meant to be the obscuring element, but those are all transparent lines. Ugh, I’m probably reading into this too much.

According to Carrie Fisher’s Twitter, Leia’s poster was released with the caption, “Oh Luke, don’t ask for the moon, we have the force.” So it seems like the Skywalker twins will come face-to-face in this movie, at some point. But it’s hard to know if we should necessarily be reading any more into these posters. Honestly, I’m losing my mind waiting for this movie to premiere already! Check out the full posters below:
