If you all didn't like Stacy to begin with, then why did you click on her link to listen to her?

If she wins, don't buy her CD. If she is on Broadway, don't go to her show. If you think she is a fake, go get a Diet Coke from the fridge when she is on the screen.

If she doesn't matter to you, then don't take the time to write about her.

I love her passion and her voice. Enough said.

one of the most contrived and staged stories of the season.....the stay at home Mom who was actually a star on Broadway....Rusty in Footloose and well this whole down and out story just doesnt resonate with me at all.....sorry but I wont be rooting for this "handpicked" finalist

Ahh all of you SHUT UP! There are sob stories on X-factor (and every other singing show for that matter) because that's the technicalities of the reality television genre!! They are there intentionally to create that 'ordinary-ppl-with-a-hard-life-tryna-make-it-to-the-top" factor! You'll understand all these further when you study reality tv.

Sure, stacy needs to reduce all the cries and talks about her past but it's only been what, 3 performances?? Give the woman a break! Moreover, she's been struggling and now she's living her dream, if she's living her dream how in gawd's name is she supposed to be feeling?? This is an AMAZING experience for her so why don't your asses let her enjoy it whichever way she chooses to.

Jeeeez, if it were you on tv would you be acting like a robot??? Gawd you human beings just like to bloody complain. One advice: Appreciate life and recognize that nobody's (yes newsflash including you) perfect!

Stacy also sang with Prince... she appears on the 2 CD Prince "Emporium" CD 1995 where shes featured on the song "sweet thing"

Stacy along with Ex Girlfriend released a reunion CD in 2009/10 that went nowhere

I'm embarassed by these comments. Music is supposed to move you. She moves me. Although I do watch this show...I have mixed feelings about singing competitions on tv ever beginning. It has turned music into so much of what it never used to be.

Whether she said this or that...you can tell there is some kind of pain there. She maybe has made mistakes in her life but WHO HASN'T?! Everyone is always attacking everyone else. Why can't we all just be ourselves and not have to fear others ignorant opinions?

Music is for your ears, not your eyes. It's about coexisting. Everyone has different tastes in music. It never used to be a problem when I was growing up in the 80s-90s and now? If you like her, great, if not...don't beat her down. She's just human and wants more for herself and her kids. I would want the same. ALL the contestants have stories. If I were on that show, I'd have one too. And I'd be afraid of my dirty laundry being aired out. And everyone on this page making comments has some too. It's just part of life and making mistakes and learning from them. But unfortunately it comes with the package these days. It's not like it used to be.....music was about joy...coexisting...and rooting for eachother. Not bashing people. What as a society are we so afraid of these days? That we are so wrapped up in dramatics. I watch this show because I want to be moved by music again. I'm not afraid to say that I'm moved by Metal, Blues, Jazz, Hip hop, Dubstep, Classical, Folk..you name it! They all move me in different ways. And every artist has a backstory. I can't relate to her too much. I'm a 26 year old single girl..no kids..supporting myself and living life. I could never judge someone in her position. If I could sing like that, I'd cry too. : ) It's so easy for us to judge from afar in such a way.....when all she's doing is standing up there with that beautiful smile singing her heart out.

I was hoping to find this video on here and read all the wonderful comments..and even some that didn't care for her. But in a kind way. It must be so exhausting to treat other humans this way. It's not necessary at all. If any of us were in her position, wouldn't we just want love and support? And not have to be afraid of what people say over the internet and so on? We might all be a little happier if we were just nicer to eachother. All of us here has opened a door for a stranger before yes? And we don't know anything about them...but we're kind enough to NOT think of ourselves for two seconds, to open that door.

Wasn't trying to go on a soap box here. I just get frustrated with all of this. But who am I to judge...especially when that's all everyone is doing. Wouldn't want to be a hypocrit at all....

Stacy is an amazing singer. But she lies about everything. She said shes never had a singing lessons or a vocal coach. She was a professional singer, a broadway singer. Opened for major acts, come on were not stupid. Stop being a actress Stacey you are a good enough singer you dont need that anymore. Start being honest or people are going to continue to be turned off by you no matter how good you are. Aso stop saying you never were given a chance, you had a major recording contract with your girl band. How can you lie so much and keep a straight face. Say hi to Tom Cruise i'm sure he gave you over acting lessons.

Fuego
Fuego

I guess people forget that the clips are edited. When you join these shows, the contract gives the producers the right to edit whatever they want to form their own story. How long have people been watching these reality shows?? And how come people keep forgetting this fact? Reality only goes but so far on TV.

Also, from the very beginning she made it very clear that singing professionally was her dream and she gave it up to move to Cali to start a family with the man that told her she'd never succeed and recently dealt with the pressure of mourning the loss of her father is a big deal. To hear from the likes of the judges that she has the potential is very uplifting... I wonder how Cathy or several other opinionated critics would handle the same situation...

I totally understand how it feels to feel defeated and almost dead inside and then to put it all on the line and give it one last chance to reveal all of yourself and emotions to the world. It's a vulnerable place. Maybe if more people followed their dreams and stuck to it they'd appreciate and acknowledge that we're all not made of the same fabric and perhaps they're not emotionless as they think.

Sing on Stacy!

God, Enrique is so distracting. I feel like he gets more and more beautiful with time.

Wow - no need to dig up trash. How do we know that she lied about any of it? There's this thing in reality TV shows of all types called editing. For all we know, she told the truth and they omitted it in the show and kept the dramatic portions. But we don't know. Whether it was her or the show editing her back story it shouldn't matter anyhow... she was never famous enough that we knew her name immediately, right? Now we know her name :)

Rickey, can we please, please have mp3 of the judge's house auditions?

Cathy
Cathy

Tonight she said: "I never thought I was good enough. I just never tried." WTF? She played Effie in Dreamgirls in San Diego's biggest theater company in 2008. I wish she'd just sing because the hole she's digging just keeps getting deeper! She's got a tremendous voice.

I don't think she is hiding anything or pretending just look at the headlines that was posted. the tears may be due to the fact that she is grieving and recently had a baby, those are deeply emotional events.

Dwayne, I only looked her up because one of my friends told me Stacy had worked on Broadway with one of her friends.

Mikhail gets it. Why does anyone need to create a false backstory when they have talent? Nobody who sings like Stacy has only been singing along with Aretha and Celine in her bathroom late at night. I'd much prefer to hear the truth that she had a career but was hoping to show the world her talent.

Karen

I love stacy. I truly hope she goes all the way. I would pay to see her live.

dwayne

I think Cathy should relax and stop diggin up trash about people...This is a singing competition....The girl can sing...Who cares about anything else...Who cares if she cries,we all cry....Have you lived in this girls shoes?...I think not....Half these people cry on the show are you digin up crap about everyone?....Get a life!!!!!!!!...

Cathy
Cathy

It wouldn't matter that she was a pro if she hadn't acted dishonest about it and act like she hadn't been working in years and was poor when neither are true. People don't like to be lied to. Do you? The sob stories and constant tears are a bit much. I wish Stacy well but I am rooting for Melanie.

Henry
Henry

so what if it she was a former singer? we all know that. so what if she WAS married to a beverly hills dentist? it's public record. so what if she's opened for broadway? many have seen her. or sang in tom cruise' home? it's not as if x factor could keep a lid on all of those.

the fact remains: stacy is NOT a star or was not successful at trying to be one. and x factor usa is a vehicle towards that end. would still be a shame to begrudge her of this chance just cause she had those opportunities in the past. she tends to oversing but she can be tamed.

Cathy
Cathy

Don't let Stacy's dramatics fool you! She's been a professional singer since the mid-90s. She was on Broadway, was part of a group called ex-girlfriend, has opened for major stars and I read she performed at Tom Cruise's home. Google "Stacy Francis Broadway" and see for yourself. It's a shame either the X Factor or Stacy felt the need to mislead people but it was really stupid. People always find out the truth. Her ex-husband is a Beverly Hills dentist! Stacy is a good actress. Unfortunately it has ruined her credibility. You don't know if she's being honest about anything. She has an incredible voice but she overdoes it.

Narvo
Narvo

She was great, really. One of the best performances in judges houses ever in x-factor.

I want Stacy to make the Lives just so the makeover team can give her a better weave. The one she has on now makes her head look huge.

Also how fake is Nicole? She spent all of that performance trying to squeeze out a tear.

Mikhail
Mikhail

Some people are funny like that, kaygee, I guess...they don't like being manipulated, lied to and pandered to by feigned emotional breakdowns. Some ppl appreciate honesty, transparency and accountability. Odd...we humans are!

Stacy is being touted, dubiously, as the single mom who never got a break. Crying and hamming it up. Perhaps it was the producers fault originally, but if she had any integrity...she wouldn't go along with the deceit. Like I said...some people have moral issues and a low tolerance for blatant lies and deceit....others, like you, do not.

Mikhail
Mikhail

Yes.....I believe I do agree! He went way up on the hot scale just from removing that mole a few years back.

Veeeeeeery hot!

night
night

I definitely agree it just shows what kind of a person she is! Get a life Cathy!

Mikhail
Mikhail

Well, it gets old and is annoying when these 'average' people have to create a backstory when in reality they did have a career...that fizzled (for whatever reason). Why can't that be their back story instead of pretending they were never discovered? Most of these stories are very dubious and personally, I don't like the manipulative insincerity either so in that sense, I agree with Cathy. The crying is getting out of hand....it's just stupid and is done for affect. But the producers have to make it seem like their stupid show is allowing people who would otherwise be miserable to get a shot at living their dream!!!!! "Simon, don't let me die with the music in me." groan......

Mikhail
Mikhail

"night" needs to grow up and stop sounding paranoid. School day's over, go take nap now.....nighty- night!!

Stacy can sing better than Melanie!! is this the reason why you're coming up with all this crap about Stacy If I were you just keep your mouth shut. :)

so what, she has the voice and she can sing!

Kyle R

LOL, "trying to squeeze out a tear." You're so hilarious. I do think she's trying to hard. I mean seriously, it's just a judging position which she probably won't be offered for season 2.
