American Idol 10 – Top 12 Girls Song List Spoilers

Rickey- can I already call the name for Pia Toscano fans? Well, I am going to anyway... "Pia Pets." haha I thought of this last night and for some reason think it's the best name ever.

I am wondering if anyone knows if they are going to start releasing full song versions of the songs yet or are we a ways away from those yet?

I still believe that this is a girl's year this year even with the good stuff that came from the guys tonight.

Am I the only one who has no idea who Pia is?

I was at this taping and let me tell you, Pia knocked it out of the park and brought the house down! The audience went nuts, standing O from the judges, Randy said it was one of the great classic American Idol performances of all time. I wasn't a fan of Pia before, but I am now.

I felt so bad for Julie Zorrilla. It was really bad and the entire audience was dead silent during the whole performance, except for 4 people who were clapping to the music and must have been her family.

Actually, Lauren Turner reminds me of Ruth Lorenzo from X Factor 5, looks and voice wise. I loved Ruth, so I really want to love her.

Most excited for Rachel's Fiona Apple and Lauren Turner's "Seven Day Fool." The other song choices, for the most part, are decent, but predictable. I like that someone picked "Only Girl" so that there wouldn't be pretty much all ballads, but I think that she will be overshadowed because they barely showed her in the audition/Hollywood phases of the competition. Thia and Pia should sing well, as should Lauren Alaina. Julie Zorilla just shot herself in the foot - that song is possibly one of my least favorite KC songs (and I am a KC megafan), and it is a very stereotypical Idol song. Unless she completely rearranges it, I can't see that being good. Naima singing "Summertime" could be very different than Fantasia's, actually, so I am actually kinda excited for it.

Also, who is this Kendra lady? Is she the one who sang Fallin' 80000 times? And is she singing Christina's "Impossible" (the one that is a duet with Alicia Keys), or Shontelle's (the more popular/current of the two, the one that was going to be Cher's song on the X Factor)?

I am so happy to hear what kind of songs the girls are choosing - it gives a much better idea of the type of artist they will choose to be. VERY excited to hear "Criminal" from Rachel. It's a fresh song pick, definitely gives her opportunity to show her range, has a slow but not ballady feel, and is a throwback to my high school days. :)

Also excited to hear Lauren Alaina's take on the Reba song, and Lauren Turner's song - I'm not familiar with the song based on the title, but she showed a lot of promise in Hollywood and at least it's not a song I've heard a hundred times on AI before.

Summertime has been done several times since Fantasia (in response to above poster). Wish Julie had not chosen a KC song. It's usually a bad move to try and emulate the first (and best) Idol winner. The guys have (for me) overshadowed the girls this year but you never know with Idol.

Sometimes the winners lose and the losers win. ~cough~ Chris Daughtry , Clay Aiken, Jennifer Hudson to name a few of the latter. Fav seasons for me (unsolicited opinion sorry) 1, 5, and 7.

Just asking... is it fair that the girls had 3 extra days to prepare their songs/show? (mind you, according to spoilers, they, overall, did better than the girls!)

I feel badly that Julie did not perform well. I really like her. Oh well.

Dont paticularly care for the song choices but i really cant say anything until i actually here them sing. Haley doin Fallin is predictable but i am very interested to see what she does with it. Love her soulful voice so hopefully she does good wit it : D

I hate the thumbs up and thumbs down buttons they kinda piss me off. but i like hearing what they are going to sing, just not the judges reactions. If u know if its good or not then that takes all the fun out of it
