I posted about this injustice to the Julliard-trained Bryant days before the finale,not knowing just how deep a thorn in the side it had turned out to be. One blogger revealed her dance school was so deeply offended

by nigels comments to bryant that administration staff dedicated a class lecture entirely towards the subject of his elimination.

Mr Bryant's reappearance in the finale no doubt is atonement of sorts, for that slight on the producers part...then again, who really knows.

This is Lauren Sanchez scripted dialogue that both sets the stage and leads into Anthony's performance:

Well now that the show is over ( except in the hearts and minds of us dance-obsessed TV viewers), these dancers will get jobs but also slide into obscurity. That's the reality of being a dancer. It's all about the work. If Nick wants to go Hollywood, we won't be hearing about him landing the plum role of Broadway dancer from the left or whatever, Jamile being the lead in Beyonce's video, etc. We'll have to hunt those nuggets of news up ourselves. Ashle and her company probably have the best shot of actually landing a review and some press. It's probably just as well that Blake has plans for a DVD even if only dance bunnies buy it.

I guess what I'm thinking is that it doesn't matter what Blake says/thinks of himself now that it's over. If he really wants to release an album then perhaps this'll bite him in the ass but who knows?

For the rest of them ( just like the rest of us online who dance/teach dance for a living) it's back to classes, rehearsals, auditions, etc....

it was really so sweet of Nick acknowledging Melody at the aftermath show. I really wish they are a couple! That would have been really perfect.

Ryan said its magic that makes his hair stand up. That's all he said, I wish he had talked some more. Blake has the face of "it should have been me being interviewed on stage you fool!". Snow wasn't there. Artem is religious. Nigel and Dan kept talking about Kamilah's left breast. Melody's relatives were mostly faired skin. Her mom was so nervous talking, so Filipino, so cute. I think she brought the most family members. Ashle only got her mom and dad. Jamile just brought a couple of his friends :( Nick's favorite dance was the Paso Doble with Melody. Mia thought Blake should have been in the Top 4. Brian has always predicted it'll be between Nick, Blake, and Melody. They showed all the bruises and wounds the dancers got during rehearsals. Lauren flirted.

That's pretty much what was in the aftermath show.

Ok I just watch partially the aftermath show. A portion there was the big lady interviewing all the other contestant on stage. Everyone was having a great time and I noticed that Blake was standing way far behind them. It's like everyone was in one big group and there was Blake standing far away with Alex. What the hell .. was he not having fun? was he still sour graping? or was he feeling that he's not part of this "non-professional" group? it was so obvious he's alienating himself.

I was there for the tapings and all the fun that goes on around the show. I am going to try to answer as many questions as possible:

**It was taped during the run through on Monday but filmed live on Wednesday - The Monday runthrough was taped in the event something went wrong on Wed they would have a backup to feed to NY Live

**The camera men are actually on the stage and the people in the audience cant even see the dances - so if you are annoyed think about the people standing there cheering for them- they are doing their job but it was hard to watch - you had to watch the big screen to see them dance.

**Nick and Melody are really very best of friends as they stood there waiting during the commercial break Melody started crying and then Nick - they both whipped tears and you could see them squeezing hands - very emotional

**The judges were very please with Nick winning - maybe you didnt see it on the TV but afterwards it was so obvious as they all hugged him and shook his hand and laughed and cried with him on stage while interviews were being lined up for him

**Snow left after the opening 16 danced - She was not there at the end for the congratulations and Aftermath reality portion - not sure where she was.

**Craig is not gay - I saw him with a female contestant and he is not gay !

**Blake is a tremendously awesome dancer, no doubt, but had a very bad attitude on stage. You could see that he was not impressed by Nick and you saw the jaw bone clench.

**The audience seats were all reserved not for family but two sections for Fox Exec, one section was for Guests of Choreographers - their future employers basically.

Monica, you can't compare Nick to Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire. As you mentioned, they were legends because of their innovative style of dancing. Nick's not innovative. Great dancer, yes. But innovative--Ryan is. Jonnis is. I'd even go so far as to say that Snow and Blake are more 'innovative' than Nick.

He has a long career ahead of him. I'd like to see his dancing in about 5 years, when he's just a bit more mature...that may be what's missing from his dancing.

in terms of "legend", you don't think of mikhail barysnikov, at least i don't. i think of gene kelly and fred astaire. these people were legends because of their innovative way of dance, the simple joy they brought to dance. as far as i'm concerned, yes, i can see nick as becoming a legend. singin' in the rain is one of my favorite movies and it has been a long time since we've seen movies of that caliber. gene kelly was primarily known as an AMAZING dancer, but he was a great comedian as well! nick is only 20 years old, he has his whole career ahead of him and if we get to see that beautiful face on screen (hopefully dancing) i say the more, the better! NICK RULES!!!

Props to Blake for picking Ashle to win; the judges agreed she was the hardest working, the most determined. I know Nigel's already made his millions off the show so he feels he can be as rude as he wants, but I thought that insulting anyone, at that stage, was the rudest thing I had ever heard. The judges fell all over themselves commenting on Melody and Nick; they barely scratched at Ashle or Jamile. It was obvious who'd make it to the end.

I'm shocked Nick may not take the apartment. It's a strange kind of commitment. Sometimes, it's not the ones who have natural talent that love dance the most, but those who need to work at it.

I was among those who didn't like Blake at the start. Not because he said something bad about Dan, I dont really care about that. It could be true that he is better than Dan.
