Yeah I guess this was a little crazy but her studio version ROCKS!!! I love siobhan! And this is a super hard song to sing and I'd like to see Crystal sing this song. And if you say that this isn't crystal's style, well Siobhan could sing anything crystal has sung in this competition and it would sound great. Real artists like Siobhan can sing anything.

This was honestly horrible, and shes my favorite.. or.. was.. o.o. This was all terrible. Nasely and pitchy all over the place.

Siobhan rocks! We all have to vote for her a ton though because we can't just assume she's gonna be safe! Come on people vote! I can't remember why I was thinking about this but Siobhan would look really good with her hair in a french braid... Since she has such short hair. She's so unique and herself. Love her!!

I just listened to her studio version as well as the original by Chaka Khan.

Chaka Khan didn't really do a stellar job on the song as it stands. I think comparatively, Siobhan did great. There are a ton of pitch and tone changes in that song, especially near the end. For as 'bad' of a job as people think Siobhan did on that song, I can guarantee you none of the other contestants would have been able to handle it at all.

Siobhan is the only contestant who never plays it safe. Every week she pushes her voice way past where anyone would expect her to. I'm guessing that it's that attitude that has made her such an incredible singer at 19. (Isn't she just 19?) I agree she wasn't at her best this week. She said something to the judges about feeling that she had taken too much advice, and would go back to trusting her own instincts. I imagine she'll be back stronger and better than ever next week!

Siobhan is my inspiration. Never before have I liked a contestant more than her. I obsess over every picture of her I see, article I read about her and get chills every time I hear her sing in that beautiful voice she displays when she sings songs like House of the Rising Sun or Wicked Game. I LOVE Siobhan's personality! She is so honest and in a way simple. Top 10 results night when she said "I could come up with a million excuses but I'm not that type of person" that was one of my favorite idol moments of all time! She is simple in a way that there is nothing fake about her. She is a genuinely amazing singer and she just comes out every week and sings a great song in her great voice. She is so true to herself in the way that she won't let people tell her what to do. Siobhan for the win!

Never Liked Siobhan, i'm sorry to say but the girl cant sing. She screetches, and makes weird facial expressions. Also she sounds mentally challenged when she speaks. She wont make the finals and I'll even bet on that. She's hitting the road around the top 5, top 4. Mark my words.

Siobhan is amazing. Just amazing and she can sing anything. The judges all knew she could have sang it well. It wasn't bad song choice, she just had an off night. I did notice some pitch problems but overall I liked it a lot and I thought the judges were way too hard on her. I'm still going to buy this song on itunes.

Simon was not right!! He's crazy could you see that he's striking Siobhan soo much and it's below the belt after all!! He just criticize without knowing that he's hurting somebody's feelings and I think he's exaggerating soo much!! Siobhan you really are a Great Singer though you didn't kill it that much as what everybody's expecting you to do but still you keep doing your thing and that's why we love you sooo much!! Though it was kinda off A LITTLE BIT but you did your best, it was just a nerves that pulled you down!!

I think the fact she went first was a major factor in why it didn't work for her on this song. Can you hear the microphone feedback in the opening moments of the song? Listen to the mp3 version. Because it's a live show, the opening act is always at a big disadvantage. The sound guys were still trying to get the mix right and it threw her for a loop. To her credit she'd never admit that though. Hopefully she survives and gets a better spot on next week's show.

The performance was ok. She did get kinda pitchy and all but I don't think it was as bad as the judges said... still she totally overdid it and needs to tone the screaming down a bit, or at least do something new with it cause like Simon said it's getting old

Not her best but when she goes up into her higher register, it's like finding gold! SO darn beautiful! Screaming? Come on! She is pure talent. This song she did not fully scream. She really showed some great pipes when in the upper register. Simon never got on to Adams case last year about his screaming high notes. Siobhan has such a lovely voice. The only thing she needs to work on is her lower register. Thank goodness Crystal changed it up this week. SHE was becoming Gokey. He became quite boring.

Ouch! What note is that when she sings the word "chance" (multiple times) in the song? I'm pretty sure it's not a note found in any music reference library.

No doubt AI has run amok beginning with the judging. A 4 judge format with the likes of Kara and Ellen has really brought it down. These poor kids are dizzy after each “expert” critique. And you could see an example of this again last night where a young and inexperienced Siobhan, who is ultra talented, is reaching and obviously making some mistakes along the way.
For one night, can we have the singers critique the judges? Insult them then degrade them just for fun. AI ratings would rise significantly!

Unfortunately Simon is too critical of the talent that Shioban has. He doesn't realize that he isn't always right about talent. Take for instance Chris Daughtry. He critized him all the time also, and look where Chris is now. I'm sure he wished he would have concentrated more of his efforts on him. Simon doesn't realize that we want someone who is DIFFERENT and UNIQUE. Crystal is talented, it's obvious that Simon is rooting for her, but she is not unique. Shioban is. As far as I'm concerned, Simon's critisizm towards Shioban is ridiculous and basically he is a rude arrogant schmuck. He picks his favorites and bashes everyone else. Either way, he ends up losing (Daughtry and Jennifer Hudson). You go Shioban, you rock and you are more talented and different than anyone on the show. You're choice of clothes are awesome too!

I have to agree with Simon regarding the "screaming" part in each of her performance is getting too boring.

Yes Siobhan, the whole world already knows that you can sing and you don't have to scream right into our faces to prove your talent, ah geez...my ears are bleeding!

Siobhan's performance was like that because she held back on her belting. If you noticed she didnt use her chest voice to hit the high notes instead used her head voice which lacked the necessary power. She should just tell Simon that she's a belter. She sings power ballads/songs. If they let Lee and Crystal do their thing (comfort zone music) then why cant they just let her belt? It's funny how Simon wants to increase Crystal's fan based so that there'll be a Siobhan-Crystal rivalry (increase ratings and AI revenues). Contestants merely need to capitalize on their strengths.

It's like Ramiele's version of Alone. Didn't worked on Live performance but definitely killed it in studio version.

OMG this was SO bad i don´t know what to say?. This is top 10, but still the majority of contestants sounds like they are still at audition?. There is really only mama sox who is doing great atm., the rest are still trying to figure out who and what they are, and then there is the screamer which is getting really annoying.

Man o man do i miss Bo Bice, Kelly, and Elliot Yamin.......all singers that got me out of my chair, and not underneath it.

I hope nobody writes her off after tonight...I want her or Crystal to win! Or Aaron.

i think what Siobhan did was hold back. clearly she can belt it out but when she looked at the judges and she thought "oh my i might scream again, i'll tone it down a bit" then that's when the second note went off. i think she held back the glory notes for the sake of not screaming in a song. and simon is quite harsh on her. i certainly hope that she'll be safe and she'll be back with a vengeance next week. i know you can do it siobhan! go!

PLEASE SAVE SIOBHAN!!! She is such a good singer and she is such a sweet girl you could just tell something was up tonight but think about the goal of this whole show: Finding an amazing new artist and Siobhan Magnus COMPLETELY fits that description!!! She may have had an off night but every single other performance of hers was spectacular!!! She has such a nice powerful voice and she shouldn't be judged by tonight. Just look back on Paint it Black and House of the Rising Sun! She is wicked awesome! I have voted probably 300 times tonight and still going. PLEASE save this amazing artist-to-be!!!

I really don't think she did that bad but I don't know. I enjoyed it but definitely not her best. I liked the high notes in this song because they were not screams like before. I am seriously Siobhan's #1 fan!!!! PLEASE vote for Siobhan!! She is just so amazing and this was just not her week but she has been consistent week after week so PLEASE VOTE!!! I love Siobhan, but this was terrible. Go back and listen to the original Chaka Khan version -- it's an ugly song to begin with, and Sha-bon-bon tried to do too much with what was essentially an a capella song. Luckily, Didi and Tim were much, much worse, and as Kara said, everyone is entitled to a bad night.

I voted 300 times for her, and never got a busy signal. That's not good... but... Even if she gets voted off, the judges would use their save on her. Smaller songs + more vocal control = top 2 for Siobhan.

Please Siobahn quit the high piercing sounds . You're beginning to sound like Mary on SYTYCD , when she does her "Hot Talmali train", which I have to mute . I may have to do the same with Siobahn as my ears can't take it any more!!

I liked her but what I've noticed is that when she already speak out the words from her mouth it seems like she has a down syndrome. or isn't it just nasal-y?

Admittedly, Siobhan had an off night, but in past weeks, she has shown a good low register as well as high and while her big notes have garnered the attention, her soft, quiet moments have been special. Just because someone hits a high note, a big note, does not make it a scream. You want screaming? That was Adam Lambert. He almost always dropped a scream and everything he sang was a falsetto. Talk about getting tired of something ... and hemade it to the final two. Siobhan has shown much more versatility and talent. Don't dismiss her after one off night. I don't get all the Crystal love from the judges. Indi-this, indi-that, who cares? She is nothing special and her personality puts me to sleep. Be honest, who would pay to see her in concert? Just go to a NYC subway station and you can hear her act anytime you want. She's had four more years to perfect her act. Her upside is minimal and she's not going to get much better. She tried to hit a big note tonight and it sounded like someone stepped on a cat. Siobhan may have off moments, but her upside is tremendously better. She's a talented kid learning to become an artist. Crystal is an artist who has maxed out her talent.

Siobhan is in trouble!!! Not in trouble of going home but in trouble of losing to Crystal(UNFORTUNATELY!!!!)

This was the first night where Siobhan looked nervous and felt as if she were out of her element. When I watched Siobhan over the first four weeks..."Wicked Game" "Think".."Paint It Black" she had a freedom and ease with what she did. This sense of " I am doing my thing and I don't care what you think" but tonight and last week as well, it is obvious that she has lost that. I think what has happened is that the weight of "The Front -runner" is starting to get too heavy on her and I see her over thinking everything and worst of all she is becoming PREDICTABLE which is a death nail because her greatest gift had been her unpredictability and her "what is she going to do next" factor.

She can get it back, but as a performer I know it is a very hard thing to do, especially when the performer in question is only 20. As her fans we should be afraid and hope that she can focus and find that place of comfort again.

I like her reserved singing in the beginning, very slight nasal in the very beginning, but it was good up until every time she says "for the chance to be with you/for a chance at loving you"...she just didn't handle that transition very well and she cracks the first 2 times. the rest of the song was good. both high notes were actually on pitch, and they were both singing and not screaming for once, so kudos to siobhan for some vocal control. i'm actually not sure what everyone is in such an uproar about over this...but i think it's because she went first and the not-so-talented ones haven't gone yet to compare. i thought it was really good outside of cracking twice.

She's starting to believe her own press. She needs to stop the glory notes and just sing. She was a bit off. But she still has "the voice."

Yes I'm back with another comment. How many people her are saying she was off because the judges said she was off??! They aren't infallible. I played this about 8 times through and I cried at one of the first chorus runs, it was so intense and pure, and sincere.

The only bigger crock than her getting dissed for that performance is me taking this show so seriously I made two posts about it, lol.

I voted for her 32 times. I haven't been this excited about a performer in 3 years, since Blake Lewis.

Now, I'm not a fan, but wasn't expecting her to do THAT badly. Dunno what went wrong there, but man was she off tonight.

I agree with the linda rondstalt comment, I have her complete mexican song cd on my opid and i speak spanish so I love it, its true siobhan sings like that, alhough its not her style...God , at least ellen said Siobhan is the dessert before the meal, which just translates into that shes the best part of the show....

I didn't think it was as bad as the judges said it was. Not her best but not bad. She has a strong voice and she can belt it out. I just think that was a bad song choice, she could have chosen something that suits her style and voice better. Still a fan.
