O.K..... about the "screams." She can hit the high notes but at the top of her range it could be a bit strained. She should hit high notes that are a few notes below her high range limit. They would still be impressive high notes but not straining. Crystal may be good but is she really a charismatic stage presence? Can she belt them out or is she a good ballad singer? Can she perform without being behind a guitar? Good duke out at the final show would be Big Mike vs little Siohban.

I totally agree with Miley.C, SIOBHAN is exciting to watch & listen you will captivated by her nice & high voice. Crystal w/o her guitar will be just an ordinary singer & forgettable..

History ALLWAYS repeat itself, whoever SIMON pimped allways ended up not winning liked what he did to DAVID.A of AI7... I'm glad his sight is not with SIOBHAN.

She is my favorite but this week her song choice did not show off her great range. She needs to find a Linda Ronstadt type song.. She could knock something like "Blue Bayou" out of the park.. with her smooth sound.

Don't know if R&B week will let her pick a song like that but.. my favorite performances of hers were "wicked game" and "house of the rising sun".

.....Well, I'm sure she's a really nice girl. She seems like she is.....a little akward, but, nice. However, Her voice really gets on my nerves. There is a certain..... "mucus in throat" sound that comes from her when she's singing that is not quite nasal, but, gets on my nerves. The screaming was terrible. If we said that everyone who screamed was "hitting a musical note" than we would all be Celine Dion and Josh Groban. But, We are not all Celine Dion or Josh Groban.....and Screaming is not SINGING.....and this IS a singing competition, right?

Honestly I think Siobhan is by far the best this year.I am sorry to say that Idol would be extremely boring if it wasn't for her.She knows how to play the audience.I am so sick of the contestants sitting or standing behind their instruments week after week.I do like Crystal's voice,but I could not sit at a concert and hear her sing for 2 hours-sorry.She really needs to play the audience and move around and I think she will next week.For me Siobhan hooked me with her first song and has every week since.I look forward to her singing and as far as the rest after she sings I could turn the tv off.I also blame the judges as they are the ones that picked all of these losers and they turn around and try to blame the contestants by saying they didn't pick the right song or they didn't make it their own or if they make it their own they aren't happy about that either.As much as I don't like Simon sometimes he really is right a lot of the times.Just my opinion!!

The Crystal vs Siobhan arguments are EXACTLY the same as we had last season with Kris vs Adam. It's just the female version.

Siobhan is getting boring.

She's got talent, but if I hear her scream one more time, I'm going to scream.

If she wants to win, she needs to show she can do more than belt it out. Otherwise, her fanbase never grows beyond tattooed emos with shrapnel in their faces.

While Crystal leaves me nonchalant, Siobhan just annoys me. There is something not right about her. She is not star material at all. Contrary to what Simon wants you to believe.

YES!! , I love her high notes..I dont think pople appreciate that this is song is suposed to have a screaming part and in fact to me it sounded like stevie wonder was actually screaming it .

Siobhan is great among young america, crystal si great among old geezers and thus thats the only reason she would win is because more old people than young voting. BUT in the end YOU WILL SEE SIOBHAN IS GOING TO BE MORE SUCCESFUL THAN CRYSTAL

Siobhan proves again that she's one of the main reason I still watch AI this season. She remains refreshing, interesting and entertaining both vocally and as a performer. I have never liked Simon's attitude towards Siobhan. Cynical tones and condescending gestures directed towards Siobhan's somewhat less privileged background have always prompted me to switch channel when it's Simon's turn to "judge" Siobhan.

Anyway... just want to share one honest opinion here. I actually like the high note Siobhan made in Superstitious. It's a different high note from what I heard in Paint It Black and other performances. This time, it's a rocker's style =)
and the hair suits the style =)

This kid Siobhan is 19. Way too young for "Superstition." Plus she is a solid, big family Catholic, not acrazy.

BTW: the little run of scat reminds me of Ella Fitzgerald -- whom I heard warming up, singing for the fun of it, when I was a 10-year old. It takes an effortless mastery of sound to do scat... to do scat so that it reaches into the soul.

This kid's heart will make Ella proud. Or maybe this is reincarnation with a reward of an extra octave on top ? Siobhan sounds to me like Ella. Another gift for mankind. Similar to what Amy Winehouse had, before she damaged herself.

I love her but I'm not a fan of this performance. It felt pushed. I didn't like the top 11 performances at all. Having said that, I think Aaron Kelly will have a solid studio version of I don't want to miss a thing.

Siobhan smashed everyone on the head with a sledgehammer with her vocals! She needs to win American Idol!!!

Love her, really liked the last few seconds of the song. But overall, I think she was a bit over-rated on this performance. She needs to work on the screech a bit more, it's not quite where it needs to be but it's gotten better since last week. Still, I agree that Siobhan and Crystal (and increasingly, Lee) are head and shoulders above the rest of the pack.

well, no one can say she's boring. everyone pays attention to her screams (which i like, btw, and i think they are all different and fit each song and style she's after), but the rest of the song and her performance are actually very good. i like crystal as a singer, but i love siobhan as a performer. those two are my faves. different styles, great in their own respective ways.

wth... the judges are giving paradoxical advice. they want the contestants to show power in their voice, yet they want her to tone it down? i just don't get it. this was the best vocal of the night for me. siobhan all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I dont know what "note" they keep talking about that she hits because it's not a note at all. She screams and it sounds like someone has their hands around her neck when she goes up for the scream. Listen to it carefully, it sounds like she's choking. Definitely not a good week for Siobhan.

She did the right thing tonight. Not her best vocal, but she mixed things up. She does dark songs the best, but it's a smart move to mix it up and do something unexpected even if it's out of her comfort zone. Even though I don't personally like that song, Siobhan is still my favorite and will be in the finals. Not every single performance can be better than the previous one. This was a solid effort, and surpassed only by Crystal tonight. Good on you, Siobhan. :)

I thought Siobhan did an awesome job. The girl is above and beyond better than the rest.
Simon is just playing mind games with the audience imo. He wants to sabotage this show and knows Crystal wont be a good seller. She is too niche trapped. I love Crystal btw but too sleepy for me. I still prefer her baby give me one reason.
Back to Siobhan...the other judges don't have an agenda and they tell it how they see it. She did a great performance and commands the stage like no other. She was pitch perfect. The rock wail was completely necessary and was cool.
I don't know what else she could have done. The bar is so high for her I feel really sorry. She needs to challenge herself and keep topping herself. She is competing against herself. Even if she doesn't win which is probably what will happen she has to be proud of what she has done in the show and the way she handles herself.

have to say though, I do still think she is the best singer, yes, even better than Crystal and Paige (lol) Simon.

I don't understand the big deal about Siobahn. She has a terrible, screechy, and sometimes throaty voice like Kermit on steroids. Her loud, high notes are screams just like Simon said, not a smooth, resonant high note comparable to great singers like Adam Lambert, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, Beyonce, etc. She screams...that's it...screams. She doesn't end her high note with anything melodic and totally butchers great songs by great singers. She talks and acts like she's high all of the time and talks so slow like she's operating with only a couple of brain cells. The best singers are definitely not in this competition and this season is like watching a junior high talent show or low end karaoke competition at a local bar. Siobahn was probably the second to last worst performance of the night, second to Paige who is totally not in the competition mentally or vocally. We've had American Idol competitors like Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, Fantasia, Katherine McPhee, Elliot Yamin, Jennifer Hudson, David Archuleta who are all great singers and performers and the Top 12 this season could not hold a candle to past seasons. This season is a train wreck and with Simon leaving the show after this year, American Idol will be losing viewers if the candidates continue t0 suck. Siobahn- if you scream one more time, you will totally be selling out trying to milk the scream thing over and over. You are so fake and have no voice at all. You do not compare to serious singers with great voices like Hayley Williams from Paramore, Amy Lee from Evanescence, Paula Cole, Joan Osborne, Alanis Morissette, Dolores O'Riordan from Cranberries, Pat Benatar, Heart, Melissa Etheridge, Natalie Merchant, Sarah McLachan, and a whole slew of other female singers with great, strong, voices. I've even heard a few screamo bands with better pitch, strength, and resonant screams with relevance to the song. Throwing around random screams in songs that don't belong is just milking something someone said was good once.

well, anyway, i like siobhan, aaron, and crystal this week, so good job to them.

She had that hair and she sang "Superstition," and I thought: is Siobhan a fanjaya?

Anyway, I thought she sang it fine, but it lacked the impact and relevance of some of her other performances.

i want siobhan to scream and hit the high notes every week!!!! this is awesome, after the borefest that we've experienced during the preceding performances...

No more screaming please unless it really fits the song. She has a perfectly good voice, no need for that.

They should all go home and leave Crystal and Siobhan to compete. Once again, Siobhan was great from start to finish.

Siobhan's performance was really good and getting better every week. Judges didn't say she's screaming except those haters. Go...Go...Go .. show to them how talented you are. I wish you the the very best.

THAT was the best performance of the SEASON by a MILE! Normally I don't like when AI contestants improvise - but the difference is Siobhan has a beautiful, clear voice and she can do things with her voice that no one else can. That little riff near the end - NOT the last note, the lead up to it - was very Manhattan Transfer. Besides anyone with the same name as someone from Bananarama is just cool. :o)

I wish she would have sang Nothing Compares 2 U instead, it would have suited her better
