Shannon Magrane Among Former Idols to Perform at Republican National Convention

Shannon Magrane will headline a handful of former American Idol contestants who are expected to perform at the Republican National Convention.

Shannon performed at the Sunday night kickoff along with former The Voice contestant Karla Davis and country singer Rodney Atkins.  The pair tweeted about their fun times at the events and uploaded pics to Instagram.

While Hurricane Isaac temporarily aborted the proceedings, Magrane won’t be the only legitimate star to perform at the convention.  Per The Hill, former Idol contestants Danny Gokey, Taylor Hicks and Ayla Brown are also expected to perform.

Just seems fitting somehow.
