I am a great-grandmother from Tennessee and I know real country music when I hear it. I have repeatedly told Josh Turner that HE has NO competition in country music, but I now believe Scotty is real competion. I have both albums and I love the way he sings "River" (Cheer up Josh, I also have copy of everything you have produced.) Thank you both, Hedy

I don't like country music, but Scotty does a wonderful job and OMG YES.... he looks
just like the cover of "MAD MAGAZINE" thought it, googled it and found that I wasn't the
only one thinking it!!!!

He is the best one on there this year!!!! My kids and I watch it every nite it is on just to hear Scotty sing. Last nite when they was telling who was going on, the kids and I sat on the couch together holding hands just waiting....when his name was called we all jumped for joy. He has fans everywhere now and galloplis ohio is behind him all the way.

Only his first performance and I'm already annoyed with his expressions. It's like he is imitating what he things a male country singer should look like - the raising of the eyebrows, the random head nods, the tilted slump in the chair....plus those dips in his voice and the over use of twang. I want to see him when the disco theme comes around.

I have a real issue with him treating the song like it was some usual bar karaoke song. He was making faces like he was The Rock, smiling and just shy of giggling also the whole slanted lean on the chair was pretty lame. I already knew he would fail to capture the song cuz hes just a kid but it was much worse than i anticipated. last note was epic fail. Did it sound ok? sure but he will sound OK on every slow paced country song he does.

To top it all off my fear of him getting that hometown Kris Allen vote seems to be coming tru when he starts off 5 times ahead on dialidol. When he starts sending home real talent, and ur favs tell me how cute u think he is some more(which he isnt)

I don't think he treated it like karaoke. He sounded better than John Michael Montgomery! And I love the way that he did the ending, he didn't completely stick to the original. I'm a huge country fan and I love his deep voice. He is actually the better ones in the competition and I am not saying that because I'm a country fan. He can control his voice unlike a lot of those semifinalists and definitely didn't pick a wrong song. So no he wouldn't be sending any "real talent" home because he IS real talent!!!! AND HE'S ONLY 17!!! to have a voice that deep and only be 17 is amazing!!!

I don't think he's going to do well on AI, but he is going to kill it in the country music scene. He has the perfect voice for country music and I think country music listeners are going to eat him up.

Sounds like Josh Turner and he's a good looking kid. I love the song. They used to sing it at the AFB chapel where my neice's husband was stationed. Reminds me of all the soldiers who were missing home.

I was surprised by this. I think he did a great job and it was nice to hear him sing something different.

Not just you! The moment I saw him I said he looks like the one from the cover of MAD magazine. haha. My dad used to buy that stuff when we were small. I'm from the Philippines btw so I don't know the real name of the person in the cover of MAD.
