Hmm looks like Scotty is the new "punching bag" ever since Pia left. Its obvious people are threatened by his talent and popularity.
They keep saying to other contestants who sing "ballads ballads ballads, always ballads". This guys sings the same old thing.. BORING country song!

I don't like country music at all...but this guy Scotty is amazing. His voice is so pure. I have never heard a country voice as good as his. I am just amazed by the clarity and perfect tone of his voice. He is pitch perfect everytime. Someone from Nashville will def. sign him. I think he will be the male Carrie Underwood, see a big future ahead for him. And the fact that he's still so young (with SUCH an amazing voice)...he's only going to get better and better as he ages. Amazing talent.
Don't be silly. Listen to the guy that recorded that song (George Strait) and then say Scotty is the best country singer you've ever heard. This guy is mediocre at best. I don't think he will be big in country music at all, even if he wins.
It was good, but pitchy - esp on that last run. Good, but nowhere near the original ! Not sure why the judges are giving him the free rides, it would only help him get better.
What I thought was interesting, was that Randy had stated that he was a Scotty fan. RANDY!!! A man who works with pop and hip hop artists!!! But, still, he did the King of Country music justice, and I loved him!!!

The name of the song is actually "I Cross My Heart."
Interesting choice. I like Strait, hated the movie. But Scotty did a good job with it.
