Sawyer Fredericks, Mia Z and Paul Pfau Compete In First-Ever Three-Way Battle on The Voice 2015 Knockouts (VIDEO)

Sawyer Fredericks, Mia Z and Paul Pfau competed in an historic three-way battle on The Voice 2015 Season 8 Knockouts on Monday, March 23 for Team Pharrell Williams.

While this isn’t the first three-way battle in the history of the franchise, it is the first one in the American version, as two singers advance while one is available to steal. The battle came as a result of former Team Pharrell member Anthony Riley (the street singer from Philadelphia) dropping out of the competition due to “personal reasons.” Mia sings “Hold On, I’m Coming,” while Paul sings the John Mayer version of Ray Charles’s “I Don’t Need No Doctor”. Lastly, Sawyer foregoes his guitar and sings “Collide” by Howie Day. In short, it’s a pretty close battle, and the results may surprise you.
