My personal feeling is that Sasha has a lot of grace and knows when to use it. She's an unselfish dancer, whereas I have felt all along that Melanie is a selfish dancer. I don't like her personality or her look, but technically she's practically flawless. She can act, sure, but it's really all about herself. I get it - this show is about being selfish to win, but I think selfishness is part of Melanie's personality. Sasha has heart and soul and it's not only about herself. I also love her dancing - both reasons are why she got my votes.
Yeah, it is the same dance over and over again. But I did love it! And damn, Mark put some frickin beef on! O_O
before i get accused of hating or racism, i would like to say that this is just an objective take on Sasha: THE GRACE that she lacks, the judges masks by calling her a warrior. they keep giving her routines that are basically the same. to get away with it, they throw in a tango or two. then they go back to praising her to high heavens when she does contemporary -- AND EACH TIME, THE JUDGES--I'M TALKING TO YOU NIGEL LITHGOE--will throw around the word, WARRIOR. dear Lord, if this girl joined the past seasons, she wouldn't even get through initial auditions.
I agree....and people complain that other dancers aren't versatile because they haven't had every style of dance. But here we are again... same role... be a warrior and beat up your partner. And what are all these obstacles that people mention? The girl hasn't opened up at all. I know she has a sister, she worked with Lambert, she's a lesbian, and her family likes to party in their living room. Several are predicting that Sasha will win and this is fine because like Nigel has said it is rare that the best dancer actually wins.

First of all, this was an exceptionally talented group of dancers for the whole season and I appreciate the quality, diversity and unique talents/gifts of the dancers on SYTYCD each year. Nigel and his team have elevated dance to the place it should be in the world and given dancers opportunities that sure weren't there when I was a dancer.
Sasha was my favorite overall dancer for most of the season. I LOVE her! I voted at least 850 times for her during the finale. Melanie is a great dancer also, but she's very young and there is a maturity that Sasha brings to her dancing that is "seasoned". Sasha dances with her soul, she empties herself and gives her all and THAT is why people were so moved by the dance that she and Kent performed. I LOVED Melanie and Sasha TOGETHER. Those two dances were excellent and they both danced them excellently. Marko is another dancer that really danced from his heart. I also feel that Ashley was let go too soon and had more to give.
Another thing about Sasha is her stage presence. When they do the group dances, without thinking about it, I am ALWAYS drawn to Sasha. All-Star Mark has a powerful stage presence and that is a very, very special GIFT.
I congratulate Melanie, Sasha, Marko and Tadd. They deserve the best. God richly bless you all in all that you do! xoxoxoxoxo :)
