President Barack Obama supported local businesses this weekend with first daughters Sasha and Malia.

Small Business Saturday is held after Black Friday and the trio bought nine books at Upshur Street Books.

According to CNN, their book list was:

Purity: A Novel by Jonathan Franzen
Two Years Eight Months and Twenty-Eight Nights: A Novel by Salman Rushdie
Elske: A Novel of the Kingdom by Cynthia Voigt
On Fortune’s Wheel by Cynthia Voigt
Jackaroo: A Novel of the Kingdom by Cynthia Voigt
A Snicker of Magic by Natalie Lloyd
Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli
Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck, Book 8 by Jeff Kinney
Dork Diaries 1: Tales from a Not-So-Fabulous Life by Rachel Renée Russell

Afterwards, they headed for Pleasant Pops popsicle shop for some ice cream.

The girls are growing up so fast! I am going to miss this family when they leave the White House.

I love that they are supporting small business and spending quality family time this holiday season.
