Sarah Davidson Reveals Divorce From Hit Country Songwriter Dallas Davidson
The past 12 months were particularly big for Dallas, whose songwriting career hit new heights with hits on Luke Bryan‘s ‘That’s My Kind of Night’, Randy Houser‘s ‘Runnin’ Outta Moonlight’, Blake Shelton‘s ‘Granddaddy’s Gun’ and Craig Campbell‘s ‘Keep Them Kisses Comin”, among a ton of big album cuts with The Peach Pickers (Rhett Akins and Ben Hayslip).
Unfortunately, Dallas’ career put strain on his relationship with Sarah, who was also trying to launch her own singing career at the time, and the final straw came when once again he didn’t support her at a show in their native Georgia. “Looking back and having to re-live some things I think is going to be difficult, but at the end of the day, my approach to that situation was just trying to carry myself with grace and give grace, and give myself forgiveness, and forgive the situation,” Sarah shares.
“I just really tried to take a positive outlook on it — the whole situation,” she continues. “One of the most important things that has stuck with me — I’ve just been reading a bunch of books, and therapy and that whole thing — is this quote: ‘The greatest message of hope for others is your own personal healing.’ So I took that quote as an opportunity to be a message of hope and sanity and grace in a time that was extremely challenging for me.”
