Rudy Currence – Gospel Medley (Part 1) – Video

I recently came upon this great talent, and his name is Rudy Currence. Part YouTube sensation and part aspiring artist, the singer posted a medley of old school gospel tunes, and I decided to share them with you on this blessed Monday morning.

Fantastic. All I’ve got to say is fantastic. Want your day turned around? Just listen to the medley. Currence is an aspiring R&B singer, and has released mix tapes, which I have skimmed through and he’s pretty good. Gospel seems to be more of his forte, but he put a killing on Usher’s “Climax” as well, and has covered Gotye’s “Somebdoy I Used To Know.”

From a cursory web search, I found out that he was signed to Island Def Jam in 2010 under Ludacris’s Disturbing Tha Peace imprint. He even appeared on 106 & Park. Those days seem to be over and he’s circling the indie route. We wish him well!
