Roman Reigns Makes Surprise Return at WWE Live Event (VIDEO)

Roman Reigns made his surprise return to the ring at a WWE Live event, attacking Seth Rollins after his main event match against Dean Ambrose last night, just days away from the triple threat WWE Championship match between the three men at Battleground.

The live event took place in Newark, Delaware, and featured Reigns coming to the rescue of best friend and current WWE Champion Dean Ambrose, after Rollins laid out his opponent and started bragging to the packed crowd. Reigns got a monster reaction at first, but once the shock wore off, the customary boos came back, albeit not as strongly as one would think. Perhaps absence really did make the heart grow fonder, in Roman’s case? Either way, this is his first appearance since being suspended for violating the WWE Wellness Policy last month. And although he’s still being heavily featured in a main event championship match on the WWE Network this Sunday, Reigns will likely still have a long way to go before he’s trusted as the top guy in the company again. WWE Battleground airs this Sunday at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT on the WWE Network. Until then, watch Reigns return to action in the video below:
