Robert Muraine — Quits — So You Think You Can Dance 4
Unfortunately, Robert Muraine couldn’t handle the choreography. What a shame, he would have been a fan favorite.
Before he left, Robert Muraine gave us another awesome performance:
Got Something to Add?
I agree with you Pallaton that he should get some choreography experience and try again. Even though he was undoubtedly noticed, who wants to hire somebody who gives up and walks out like that? If he wants a career in dancing, he's going to have to be able to follow choreography eventually.
I still respect him though. He was just scared and frustrated and very young. He'll realize how stupid he was and kick himself one day...hell he may be doing that already. Believe me, I know. And that's just the way the cookie crumbles.
What a loser.
Sorry but I just can't respect anyone who would just give up like that. Looking ridiculous or not, he still should've tryed.
So what if he wasn't going to be good. As was seen later on in the episode they gave people a chance to partner up w/ someone else if the judges felt like they were being dragged down by the other person.
I do hope he comes back next season though w/ some choreography experience under his belt so he can proceed to blow us all away b/c even though this move here really pissed me off... I do really hope that he comes back and tries again.
I don't blame Robert for not wanting to humiliate himself on national TV. He was in over his head with the choreography and he knew it. Why be pissed at him? I, too, hope he takes some classes and comes back next year and if he doesn't, I hope he got enough exposure on this year's show to get himself some interesting offers. Best of luck to you, Robert!
I was actually going to tune in to this show for Robert. It's a shame. I would have loved to see him continue. I am not interested in anyone else. I bet the show lost some audience because of this. I am out!
Robert... I was in tears when you said you wanted to quit. You are so talented. Please take some choreography come back next year. I know there are lots of people that would really enjoy watching you preform you truly talented. Never give up.
Ah, so that's what happened. I caught only the last 15 minutes and knew from the recap that he wasn't a finalist. Too bad he wasn't up to risking something new on national TV. Hope he explores other dance forms (or even other forms of entertainment--he's got a great face and comic wit) now that he's off the show, and the talent that he's got is superb and deserves to be seen beyond the promenade.
Lost a bit of respect for him??? The guy is brilliant, and mature and knows his limits. I think what he said was admirable...a shame for all of us who wanted to see more of him. The judges should learn to "listen" (read behind the words he is speaking) instead of always believing they are right and hearing themselves. Mia's comment was uncalled for. He's not blowing off his talent. He went to Las Vegas and has been trying everything. He obviously was just standing around during the choreography because he couldn't remember and follow. If you ask me not a cry baby, a genuinely nice, intelligent and stable individual. You can tell. We have not seen the last of him (maybe Ellen will have him on).
Yes he should look stupid doing choreo and go home on THAT note, but regardless, at least they won't applaud him, put him through to the show and scold him on national tv because he has no formal dance training like they did to Cedrik last year when all but Nigel had voted to put him through.
i can't believe he quit... he was so good :( i think he just got scared, i'm sure he will come back next season - i hope so!
[Cry Cry Cry]--I was sooooo looking forward to watching him perform throughout this season. Damn it, damn it, daaaaamn iiiiiitttt!
