TMZ is reporting that Jennifer Lopez could officially be an American Idol judge as early as next week. (Pause) But do we still care?

From TMZ:

Jennifer Lopez is in the final stages of negotiations with “American Idol” — and we’re told it’s all but a done deal and Jennifer will be the last critical link in the chain.

“Idol” sources say producers believe Jennifer is the key to re-energizing the show.

The Bad: J-Lo and her humongous ego isn't much of an improvement. Unbelievably, Kara's a better singer than she is.
The Ugly: Steven Tyler has sold out his rock cred for this dinosaur of a show.

Final Verdict: EPIC FAIL. Without Simon, this show will tank. Badly.

I can't wait to see what Lopez brings to the show and how she melds all of her experience together to perform. Will it be dazzling or disaster? I'm hoping for the former :]

I've watched very little of Season 8 and 9 because Season 7 was tops for me ... but I still tuned in for the earlier weeks just to check it out .. then I didn't bother to watch after a few weeks cause I didn't care for anyone on the show ... even my daughter lost interest too ... also, I found the judges behavior and comments the most annoying these past 2 seasons and it completely turned me off ... especially that Kara Laguardia airport, LOL. oh well ... I will tune in to S10 and check things out once again, with little expectations. Are they at least bringing back down to 3 judges? If so, thank goodness ... 4 judges was too much and made everything more long and drawn out and really made the show drag along and more boring ... IMHO it really took away from the show and that was a really poor decision to do that. Just my $2 worth ... inflation, you know! ;)

Season 10 will be AWESOME!! I was so mad about Season 9. It was horrible. but I'm not going to focus on the negative. Let's pray that Jennifer Lopez can bring some excitement to IDOL Season 10. I still have hope for my favorite television show.

Are you still not over the Angela Martin thing? If she would have made it, you probably would have cared less about her. In fact, you probably would have been one of those people that would have wanted her off. Season 9 ROCKED. Crystal, Lee, Siobhan, Aaron-all great!

I actually think JLo is a great addition to the panel. She could bring what Paula brought to the show. She has a sweet personality and I think that is needed now.
Just get rid of Kara now! Please...

I am thinking a combo of Randy,JLo and Steven Tyler just might work..

Whoever the judges turn out to be, they need to do a better job of narrowing down the contestants to the ones with real talent. Some of the contestants who were promoted by the judges last year didn't have that X factor that will bring fans to concerts or sell records. It wasn't fair to the top 10 from season 9 to put them in large arenas this year which were only half to 3/4 full and setting these nice kids up for bad reviews. The producers should have seen the train coming down the track by mid season last year and booked smaller, more intimate venues for these guys.

Season 9 was great, people were only complaining because there was no Adam Lambert. If you were in the judges shoes, you would have picked those people too. They delivered the best in Hollywood-so what do they do? They pick them. That is how it works.

You are kinda dumb. They wouldn't cancel the show that is still getting 18 million + viewers. Yes, its not as much as it used to be, but its still a lot higher than most other shows.
