Rayvon Owen and Postmodern Jukebox Nail Soulful ‘Don’t Let Me Down’ Cover (VIDEO)

Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox and Rayvon Owen have teamed up once again, this time for a soulful cover of “Don’t Let Me Down” by The Chainsmokers featuring Daya.

“Although the original version of this song has a contemporary dance club feel, the lyrics are evocative of classic soul ballads and Gospel songs from many years ago,” wrote Scott Bradlee on PMJ’s official website. “Our Postmodern Jukebox version builds on that lyrical connection.”

Naturally, if this was the intention, then I can’t think of many people better than the American Idol Season 14 finalist. Seriously, Rayvon is one of the most soulful singers to ever appear with PMJ, and it results in a cover that helped me hear this song with new ears. Seriously, I don’t even like the original, but I just loved this. That falsetto, man!
