Ratings: ‘The X Factor’ down 31% from last year, ‘Big Brother’ gets season high – 9/13/2013
The X Factor Season 3 Premiere Night #2 had a 2.2 rating and 6.79 million viewers. This is down 31% from last season’s Thursday premiere.
Don’t worry Demi Lovato, The X Factor is not getting canceled. These are still decent ratings. In fact, American Idol can fall to these ratings next year and that show still won’t be canceled.
Big Brother 15 had 2.6 rating — a season high — and 7.5 million viewers. BB15 was the most watched and #1 show of the night.
Million Second Quiz had a 1.1 rating and 4.2 million viewers.
Update: The X Factor premiere on Wednesday was adjusted up to 2.2 — so it ended up even with Thursday’s ratings.
Update: Big Brother adjusted DOWN to 2.2! That’s a huge drop from the 2.6 preliminary. I wonder what happened.

Got Something to Add?
Last season they had Britney Spears. The curiosity factor of the premiere was a lot higher than this season's panel.
In both cases the UK versions of both shows are SO MUCH BETTER....CBS needs to put Julie Chen and her house out to pasture....as for X factor still dont get why US producers cant match the quality and emotional impact of the UK version....the US version all seems so rushed and overly staged....not to mention the talent is pretty subpar
@djfabian The talent IS subpar. I feel like, for being such a big production, X-factor and American Idol can go out to about 5x's the locations they already do and find much greater stories to tell us about as well as far more talented singers.
@titina Actually it's EVEN from Wednesday since Wednesday was adjusted up. But I love the positive attitude!
@Trey_ Up "slightly". :)
