Ratings: The X Factor slips slightly
The X Factor had a 3.6 adult rating which is down 10% from last week — however, it is usually adjusted up later in the afternoon so the dip won’t be as “bad”. The show is still holding on to 10+ million viewers so I still consider it “steady.” I now think we are going to see some really depressing numbers for Sunday and the next two weeks when the show moves to Tuesday. Airing on different days specially for a new show can really confuse viewers.
Big Bang Theory was the #1 show with a 4.4 rating.
Fox’s The X Factor was down four tenths of a point (10%) vs. last week to a 3.6 adults 18-49 rating. It has seen upward adjustments in the final ratings this season which will likely narrow that decline. That was still enough to put Fox on top the nights adults 18-49 ratings.
CBS’s The Big Bang Theory scored a 4.4 adults 18-49 rating down a tenth from last week’s rating, but still easily topped all broadcast shows for the night. Person Of Interest recovered up a tenth of a point vs. last week to a 2.7 adults 18-49 rating.
The CW’s Vampire Diaries jumped 14% to a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating, and The Secret Circle was even with last week’s 0.8 adults 18-49 rating.

Got Something to Add?
the show has been a huge disappointment...what was Simon thinking...overly staged...judges with little personality (Nicole and LA in particular)....way to many unlikable contestants and stay at home moms.....with former broadway careers..........and throw in a lil brat or 2 and who the hell is left rooting for....sure aint rooting for some rehab victim.....Simon the ratings prove it...you totally missed the boat on this US version. Oh and I didnt even mention the wooden host....but no one ever notices him anyways.
Looks like 10-12M with 3.6 or so in the demo, is what XF will take into sweeps. The show will probably not gain audience in sweeps, with most of its time slot competition going for major story arcs to lock down their audience. In fact, it could bleed off some ratings, due to eliminations. The only hope is a strong finish in December, when most of the time slot competitors go into hiatus until 2012.
