Ratings: The Voice down slightly, wins Monday
Update: The Voice ratings have been adjusted up to 6.0 (WOW!) and 16.04 million viewers
The Voice had a 5.8 adult rating last night, down slightly from 6.0 last week, with 15.72 million viewers.
The Voice ratings have been adjusted up a tenth every week, so I expect ratings to be steady from last week. Great news for the show. With only one more audition show left, the pace has been surprisingly quick.
However so much for American Idol’s Nigel Lythgoe’s claim that Katharine McPhee is a “star”. Smash is in danger of being canceled. How much lower can Smash go in the ratings?
The rest of the numbers:
The Voice was down two-tenths from last week (though note last week it was adjusted up a tenth in the finals) to a still robust 5.8 adults 18-49 rating but still easily was the night’s highest rated program with adults 18-49 and more than enough to pace NBC to a win on the night. The news for Smash wasn’t good though falling another half a point with adults 18-49 to a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating.
Fox’s Alcatraz continued to fall as well dropping a tenth to a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and House was also down a tenth earlier in the night to a 2.3 adults 18-49 ratings.
Hawaii Five-0 was up a tenth to a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating.
