Ratings: ‘The Big Bang Theory’ wins Thursday, ‘The X Factor’ down
Update: Big Bang adjusted up to 5.0! And Grey’s Anatomy up to 4.4.
The Big Bang Theory premiered this season with a 4.8 adult rating and 15 million viewers to be the #1 show on Thursday. The X Factor had a 3.2 rating down from last week. The show is holding on to it’s audience (just like it did last season), but at least the erosion is slow. I would panic if the numbers go below 8 million viewers and under 3 rating — but I don’t think that’s happening anytime soon.
Grey’s Anatomy premiered with a strong 4.3 rating, and Glee was down to 2.5.
Elementary had an impressive debut with a 3.1, but Last Resort not so much with a 2.2. Person of Interest had a 2.9.
On FOX, The X Factor garnered a 3.2 adults 18-49 rating, down from last week’s 3.5. Glee earned a 2.5. also down from last week’s 2.9 adults 18-49 rating.
On CBS,the season premiere of The Big Bang Theory earned a 4.8, down just a tick from last year’s 4.9 premiere 18-49 rating. The season premiere of Two and a Half Men earned a 3.5, compared with last year’s Ashton Kutcher-inflated 10.7 premiere rating. The season premiere of Person Of Interest earned a 2.9, down only two tenths from last year’s 3.1 premiere rating. The series premiere of Elementary earned a respectable 3.3 adults 18-49 rating.
On ABC, the series premiere of Last Resort earned a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating. The season premiere of Grey’s Anatomy earned a 4.3, up two tenths from last year’s 4.1 premiere rating.
